RB Ezekiel Elliott (All B1G, All-American, National Champion, Pro Bowl, All Pro, New England Patriots)

Thanks so much for setting things straight. It's embarrassing when extremist fans overreact and make the rest of the fanbase look bad. I'm very happy Zeke wants to be a Buckeye.

Same here. This is the type of kid that keeps his head on straight both in the classroom and on the field. I can't wait to see him in S&G

I guarantee they used the fact that we are recruiting Wilson as their main angle

I think that mizzou would bring up our depth chart compared to theirs and not bringing up a player that wouldn't be used in the same way

Edit: Back to Elliott though, I would be surprised if he flips. Everyone states that it is his future, and he has to do what's best for him, which I completely agree with. What makes no sense is that he decides to take an 11th hour visit to the local school who's offer he's probably held for over a year. Why visit now?

It'd be totally different if it were a school who just recently offered (see Texas).

Why not? Don't think like an adult, think like an 18 year old. It's a chance to go visit a college campus. Timing is irrelevant really. EZE is going to make the best decision for EZE and no one else.

The only odd thing about this though is that he has been there many times. Don't get me wrong, he's gotta do what's right for him, and if it were my kid I'd want him to do whatever is necessary to feel comfortable too. All I'm saying is that he's had 355 days to take an official to a school right in his backyard, and he decides to go now. That's why the timing seems odd to me.

They sell the "play for your home state school....your parents' alma mater"

The "play for the home state school" angle landed them Dorial-Beckham last a year

Well then you have to give Mizzou coaching staff some props. How do you sell Missouri football to an elite recruit and beat Urban Meyer for a signature (potentially)? Those fellas are earning their keep.

The "commitment" becomes a Commitment on Feb 6th. 18 year olds have made very few life altering decisions and this is one that is in the view of the nation. Not to mention EZE's relative "home" school, dad's alma mater. How many fans, friends, classmates have been in his ear all this time?

Can't be mad whatever his choice is, regardless of when he makes that decision.

Because you're thinking of it from the perspective of an adult instead of that of a high-schooler who can name his school of choice and have it paid for....I very seriously doubt the timing of it goes much deeper than that
