With Smith suspended for the opener and Jordan Hall moved to H-back, it'll be Dunn and Ball toking the rock against Buffalo...

Excuse me.....

Dunn better not forget the play or else he will be out too.

I detect that you are tacitly hoping for Smith to fumble and to ride the pine the rest of his career.

I don't think anyone here is rooting for a Buckeye to fail. I do think that these off field mistakes could cost guys their careers in the near future. The talent this staff is bringing in will jump all over any chance they get, and it might take a ton of effort to get your spot back once in the dog house.

Hyde
Smith
Hall
Dunn
Ball
Wilson
Elliot

Am I missing anyone? Hyde, Smith and Dunn are all big, powerful and possess good speed. I'm guessing that the latter two will receive some decent PT (even after the return on Hyde).

Dontre Wilson and Elliot gives us flexibility to run some reverses and sweeps.

Hall can be play a role as a pass-receiving HB although I don't see exactly where he and Ball can fit into this offense this year.

I guess I don't see the need to call out Rod Smith when Dunn literally gave away his shot last year when he forgot the play that was called. He definitely is calling Rod out and not giving Dunn equal calling out.

Smith looked not just good but very good in his limited action last year.

Taos is a lot of things, but someone that openly roots against Buckeye players is not one of them.

If you do the math it's pretty easy. We just need to average 117 offensive plays a game.

Ball can certainly be in the category with the first 3 AND the one with hall. He's gotten pretty big in mariottis system. Around 225lbs now, and still got 4.5 wheels. Our depth is great, but can turn into a deficiency in a blink of an eye with an injury here and there.
Most of our RBs are pretty versatile which also helps. Hall, Dunn, ball, Wilson and Elliot will get touches in the first few games.

  • It’s not easy being a running back at Ohio State. With Carlos Hyde running like a freight train and senior Jordan Hall behind him, patience is necessary for backups such as Warren Ball. At least he is healthy after missing his freshman season because of a foot injury. Ball has played in six games, mostly on special teams. He has 11 carries for 59 yards, with most of that coming against Florida A&M. In the classroom, Ball is an unquestioned star.

Question: What can you tell us about your family?

Answer: My dad is Warren Sr. My mom’s name is Danielle. My dad played football at a small school in Kentucky, Thomas More College. He taught me football at a young age, from studying film to doing drills. My mom is very supportive. He works at Chase and my mom works at Merrill Lynch. My younger brother, Jaylen, is 11 and into tae kwon do. My sister, Maya, is 8 and is into gymnastics.

Q: How old were you when your father would show you film?
