Roger Lewis (WR New York Giants)

Being from NE Ohio, I was rooting for St. Ignatius last night. I was really surprised Pickerington didn't try to get the ball to Lewis more last night. Not being able to see what was going on down field, I have no idea if Lewis was getting open.

same here. He looked like he was the 3rd option. That one kid/name that was the first option had a few great catches that made me think that was Lewis but, wasn't lmao

Lewis has been dealing with an injury that has been limiting him the past few games. That probably had something to do with his performance.

Pickerington recruits as much as most Catholic teams. They have 8 or so varsity starters from neighboring school districts. Just an FYI. Awesome defense though!

Only 1 team has 10 (now 11) State Championships.

Clearly St. Ignatius is/was the better team.

Pickerington does not recruit, they have kids from neighboring towns that want to win and be a part of a winner that move into the district. There are modest reasonably priced homes and apartments that kids move in to. Unlike Catholic schools, Pickerington does not have an open house for kids to come to nor do the coaches show their faces at CYO games like Catholic school coaches.

Sounds like the Wayne HS way of handling things. You think Braxton Miller was FROM Huber Heights? Nope. Springfield. We snagged him away.

Had Minton been able to wrestle Trey DePriest away from Springfield, we might be talking about him being the next big Buckeye LB'er.

EDIT: Sorry, off topic.

Going back to Roger Lewis: I like what I saw from him last night. We have a really dynamic group of WR's coming in next year. I'm pumped.

Wow, I can see why he got bumped up to 4 star, what a phenomenal senior film. Great hands, good body control in traffic, more than a willing blocker (he seems to love blocking = hello early PT), and runs smooth routes. Above all, he looks a lot faster in terms of top end speed this year...can improve his lateral acceleration a bit but overall, I'm surprised Lewis has not got more talk after that film. Can't wait to see what he does here.
