Still seems like yesterday and I can remember everything that I did that day. To all those who perished that day and to their families, you are still in my thoughts and prayers. I will NEVER forget.......

I was going to start a thread on this before I found this one. I will always remember being on the phone with the press room manager of the New York Post when the first tower was hit. I had no idea what was going on at the time.

After hanging up with that chap I called another customer here in Ohio.
This customer told me to turn on the TV, a plane had crashed into the World Trade Center. In disbelief, I turned the TV on, and ended up watching the second tower get hit live. I doubt I'll ever forget that morning:(

It was one of the starkest moments in my personal history. A friend from college was one of those in the trade towers but did escape.

To me this was akin to Pearl Harbor.

Thanks to all who sacrifice to keep the war from our shores. The surge has made an impact.

God Bless all who serve and protect us. Next time you see a vet or military person, pray for them and their families and thank them. Semper Fi!

I remember that was my first year living on my own and I was living in Buffalo and as stupid as it sounds I was actually looking out my window because I thought it was a full scale attack state wide LOL Silly now, but what a scary day. My cousin whos an FBI agent in Cleveland actually lost her baby because she didn't realize she was pregnant at the time and she visited the PA crash site to investigate and the doctors thought her miscarriage was probably due to the gases she inhaled there.
