Dan, you had me worried for a second. I saw UK and thought Kentucky. Welcome from New England.

Good evening, everyone.
Born and raised in Saint Louis. Came to Columbus in the fall of 1967 to study radio and tv broadcasting, but switched to finance.
Played the other kind of football here for four years, as well as freshman lacrosse. I wonder if those lacrosse guys are still as crazy as they were back then?
Met my wife while we were both in grad school here and have lived in Columbus ever since.
Was blessed to see the "Super Sophs" squeeze O.J. in the Rose Bowl, Teddy the Tree's pick-six vs. Leroy Keyes and Matt Phipps, Woody going for two against that place up north to make the score 50, and many memorable marches from South Campus to the State House after those games. Lived in Steeb Hall (south campus). After the shellacking of that place up north, we somehow got the crossbar for the south goal all of the way to Steeb Hall and hid it behind bushes until we could rent an acetylene torch and cut chunks for souvenirs. Campus police stopped us on the way and just smiled when we told the officer what we were doing. I gave my piece to a former football player some years ago. It probably meant much more to him than it did to me. He played for Woody and I cannot remember his name for the life of me. My senior year, I helped the varsity coach teach soccer to a bunch of football guys who were PE majors. One very nice guy, with a wife and son, died of a brain tumor within a year. Never will forget that.
Just hope to fit in and enjoy some of the posts by knowledgeable fans.
Will probably pay more attention to college football now that my old hometown has lost its second (and, I hope, last), NFL team.

Always respected Ohio state football. Really looking forward to the game week 3. I'm hoping to be there. Got on here to talk some football and waste time til football season.
Welcome. The locals have been riled up by a douchebag version of an Oklahoma fan.....but if you ignore those back and forths, the game discussion can be found here: http://www.buckeyeplanet.com/forum/threads/ohio-state-at-oklahoma-09-17-16-7-30pm-et-fox.641854/

Hi Guys! Another newbie to the Forum (Although apparently I'v had an account for a while!)

I'm a fan from the UK - Have been a long time listener of the The Blitz and over the last few years listening to the breakfast show Loper and Jeff Logan have subliminally turned me into a loyal buckeye! I'm making my first tip to Ohio later in the year to see us play the Spartans in Lansing and TTUN in the Shoe so really looking forward to that, and of course exploring the great city of Columbus for the first time! Any tips for the trip are welcome!

O-H!

Edit - Apparently I made this exact same post a year ago! Oh well ... Hello again! My flights are booked and tickets bought this time so I'm more legit this time around!

I-O!
