I believe Florida & Urban Meyer will be tough to beat on this one. But plenty of talent and interest at QB position for OSU.

For us, it's good that we offered early. this guy can do some great stuff and probably looks like a #1 at the position.

Already one of the hottest prospects in the country, Tim Tebow has his choice of schools, anywhere he wants to go. That’s a lot to throw on the plate of someone that hasn’t even reached their senior year, but when you are good or THIS good, the recruiting process begins early. So, it’s never too early to start thinking about those schools and what you are looking for in the end.

USC & Clemson Hanging With Tebow

By Phil Kornblut
Highly recruited QB Tim Tebow (6-3 225) of St. Augustine, FL seldom has a dull moment. The three sport standout has moved from football to basketball and is now getting into his baseball season. At the same time, he and his family are dealing with recruiting. According to his coach Craig Howard, Tebow has well over 40 official offers including USC and Clemson. Tebow has not officially trimmed his list but Howard acknowledged Thursday that the Gamecocks and Tigers are two of the stronger contenders. Howard said he met Thursday with Tebow's father and they went over the offer list and circled and checked off the schools of stronger interest at this point. USC and Clemson were among the ten or so schools identified by Mr. Tebow. Among the others were Alabama, Florida, Michigan and Nebraska. "Spurrier being at USC is a big thing," Howard said. "And Clemson's situation is also interesting with their new offensive coordinator. We're waiting to get to know them better." Howard said Tebow is not likely to make it to many junior days because of his baseball schedule but he made several unofficial visits to schools for games last season.

Tim now has around thirty offers and says he has no favorite at this time, he may want to play baseball in college also. Is going on a mission trip for three weeks in the summer, so camps may be out of the question. Tebow says the relationship between him, the head coach and qb coach is very important to him.

Tebow has received over 30 offers. Tennessee, Ohio State, Michigan, Nebraska, South Carolina, North Carolina, Louisville, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, Purdue, Oregon, Oklahoma State, Wake Forest, Indiana, and Duke are the topschools on his list who have offered. Florida State, Florida, Georgia, and Michigan are recruiting him the hardest. He says distance will not be a factor and his parents will not push him to any particular program...

Tim is still wide open at this point, he has visited the following schools, Florida State, Florida, Miami, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State and Notre Dame. Tebow says Florida, Alabama, Miami and Michigan are recruiting him the hardest at this point.

He hopes to narrow his list prior to his senior season.

Hold on to your seats Buckeye Faithful got some seriously quality news, lets keep Tim on our front page from now on.

Sat next to one of the coaches form <ST1:p<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Neese High School</ST1:p for a three hour flight and talked some football.<O:p</O:p
As far as Tim is concerned he is really looking hard at Notre Dame, tSUN, and tOSU. Tim is a very devout Christian with a father who's dedicated to doing missionary work. The coach informed me that Tim is not overly impressed with any of the three Florida Schools and wants to be an early impact at whatever school he chooses. I ask if that meant as a freshman, he said, "No, but looking to play his sophomore year." My take was this kid wouldn't mind getting a solid chance as a freshman but not his number one priority. It appears that Tim and his Father were very impressed by Coach Tressel. Coach Tressel visiting Tim in person was a big honor to Tim and the interaction between them was superb.<O:p</O:p

So if anyone can contact Coach Tressel and let him know as of right now we are neck and neck with <ST1:pMichigan </ST1:pon Tim Tebow with the Domers a close third. I think another in person visit would be huge according to one of Tim's Coaches.<O:p</O:p

40 time: 4.6<O:p</O:p
Strength: 400lbs Bench (One of strongest on the team)<O:p</O:p
Arm Strength: Farve Ability 75 to 80 yards
Running Style: Linebacker mentality with Tailback Speed
Best Quality: Most Competitive kid this coach has ever seen

The Coach gave me Tim's Recruiting VCR tape and I would love to post it here for all of you to enjoy. So since I don't have a clue how to do that if somebody wants the tape I'll mail it if they promise to post it here and return the original to me.

Anyway things look very strong for the Scarlet and Grey so keep your fingers crossed.

Cheers,

HB

If this is legit, this is absolutely huge news.

Regardless of the slander/libel that ESPiN and others spin, JT is one heck of a guy and a solid christian from every report I've ever heard.

Not sure that he'll end up here, but you have to like our chances.

Pulling this kid out of FL would be unreal. From most sources I've read this is the top QB in 06 at this point.

Thanks for the update, and for being in the right seat at the right time.

As for hosting the video, I would be able to get it into computer form so that we could host it online and feature it here on BP. Check your PM.

didn't ND just get a verbal from Frazer, the QB from PA?
That would make it a two horse race in my book. But don't count out Steve Superior in Columbia. He can sell his program like nobody's business. He should have plenty of roster spots open. Half the team will be in jail by July.

Great update HolyBuckeye. Maybe the staff knows where they stand with Tim and thats why they havent offered any of the 3 instate guys yet or the Shakes kid from TX.

JT's values, structure and family atmosphere coupled with an explosive offense in 05 could bring a major recruiting coup to the Buckeyes. If this update is true of course. I had written Tim off as gone to FL and really had not read any updates about him recently.
