tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Think less, feel more.
It was about this time last year that Da'Shawn Hand was revealed as the #1 overall prospect in these forums. Any word on who holds the lofty #1 overall prospect tag for the 4 recruiting services for 2015?

I know Marshon Lattimore didn't blow up until after the season started, but I'm also curious who the #1 in Ohio is. Last year, at this time, I believe it was Dante Booker, I believe. Thanks.

Scout $Article about offensive recruiting for 2015. Someone please summarize.
It's not too early to begin looking at Ohio State's 2015 recruiting class. Although there are no commitments to the class, the Buckeyes have been busy issuing offers. Derek Young takes a look at the 2015 class.

O and D linemen along with LBs will be the most important recruits for the 2015 class, IMO. Shoring up those positions and keeping an influx of speed at the skill positions will keep us in the NC race. Not saying we forsake other positions, but those spots, to me, will keep us on the elite side being able to keep up with the sec.

Who are some TEs we could go after? as i said in the other thread, we are low on TEs with playing time.

we have 5 TEs on the team and after this year we lose Thomas, Moore and Heuerman leaving just Baugh who already has 1 strike before he even got to camp, and Vannett who's a JR this year. Meyer said he wants to have 2 TEs on the field alot so we probably need 4 scholarship TEs minimum

Cj Conrad is a TE that the buckeyes have been in contact with and is very much in the mix

I sure hope that TE recruits in this class and future classes(as well as critics of the coaches system so far) are watching how the TEs are being utilized I. The Ourdue game today. Heurman has sent off, and Vannett has a TD as well. Braxton is certainly using what the defense is giving him, and that has left our TEs in open spaces. Go bucks! :urban2:

Thomas is no longer on the team due to a career ending injury. J.T. Moore is only a redshirt Junior so we have him for another year. So that gives us three TE. But I agree that TE is an area of concern. Hubbard could fill in if needed as could Holmes but I think that they are both better served on Defense.

Heureman and Moore will be seniors, Vannett a junior, and Baugh will be a redshirt freshman with a lot of promise. I think TE will be a priority in 2015 but we really don't need one in 2104 when considering Hubbard or Brown could fill a similar role.
