tOSU Recruiting Discussion

When the evaluation only happens after it looks like one will be lost and the other might be added, it's always going to be suspect. No OSU fan had anybody in the country ranked over Walker a week ago.
Exactly! In a weeks time, fans are now saying a kid who was barely on OSU's radar(from a fans perspective) a week or 2 ago is better than a kid who's not only the #1 ranked RB but an OSU commit since January. And now since Walker is seeming to trend towards scUM we're supposed to think he's no longer that good and Williams is now so much better? I'm fine with either, but I'm not ready to say who is better based off of stats of a kid who plays obviously inferior competition with a kid who plays top flight teams.

It's totally reasonable for someone who has never seen video of Antonio until recently to like him better than Kareem without calling it sour grapes.

I don't have an opinion either way because I haven't seen enough of either. But there have been analyst who have said Kareem is a little overrated.

FWIW, I think the best RB in the country is Tavien Feaster who is committed to Clemson. And it's not even close.

From my seat, I understand that young men make decisions and then remake their decisions only to change their minds again. No harm done. However, should he end up at tsun, I'd be a liar if I said that I didn't notice the burr in my shorts as a result of the flip. I suspect that some of the reactions here are a function of that burr.

That said, as we've seen it before, one player doesn't make a class. And frankly, others -- perhaps @BUCKYLE -- said it well when they write of only wanting players who want to be Buckeyes. From a locker room perspective, I think I have to agree. If he waffles a bit but sticks he's given it enough thought. If he goes somewhere else, that's OK too. But there's no looking back once you're on the other side of the door.

There is nothing an OSU fan can say about this, that isn't going to come off as sour grapes. So, here are some numbers to quietly consider:

So I haven't seen an tidbits, just thinking with Paris Ford looking like a Pitt verbal, is there speculation that Damar Hamlin also joins him at Pitt? Is the recent news of Victor's HS teammate CB Malik Young visiting this weekend just a kid visiting a big game with a friend, or OSU trying to lure him away from GA to make up for not getting Hamlin?

I believe that information does not come under the special of $49.99. You would have to buy the premium subscription for $79.99 to get that type of information.

If our size is 25 then my wish:

Keep Walker - putting us at 19 w/ 6 spots left for:

Elite DT (either of the Lawrence beasts or Jackson)
Victor
Bruce (tough pull)
Fuller
Hamlin (looking less likely) or another good/great CB (could see a wild card here or flip)
A good LB (could see a wild card here or flip)

The probability of Walker and Williams both having successful college careers is high, but I am going to suggest that it will depend on where each wind up. And that is the $64k question each of those kids needs to ask themselves. Zeke would not be on the National radar had he flipped to Texas, IMHO. OSU has been at least as good for Zeke as he has for us. That does not mean one will not be successful if they do not choose us, both could be successful at separate schools. But, you can almost guarantee you are going to be successful at OSU, granted you win the job which isn't easy, but you could flop at other schools ie Zeke at UT.

With that said, I will be okay with either, Williams may wind up being a stud, but I really really like Walker. I think he has an elite burst, top end speed is redonkulous, and he is a powerful back and does break tackles.
