ScriptOhio Everybody is somebody else's weirdo.

It actually could happen, I'm sure there are some football coaches today that do not know all the names of their players:

    True story.....

You may be surprised to know that Woody Hayes didn't know all his players names; however, he was still a pretty sucessful head coach. I lived in Smith Hall back in 1968 and Woody would visit the floor to check on some of his players. He came out of the elevator one evening and asked if so and so (i.e. Nick Roman, Dirk Warden, Rex Kern, Dave Cheney, Paul Schmidlin) were in their rooms. Well, we told him none of them were. We named another scholarship player that was. He goes "who?". We repeated the name, he looked at his clipboard, shook his head, and just got back in the elevator. Needless to say we never let that guy forget that Woody didn't even know who he was.
He was a (4th or 5th string) defensive back and Paul Schmidlin's roommate.

I see Meyer is doing some insight for the per game on the ESPN BCS show. Every appearance adds up an helps promote OSU.

Urban and the coaches and players have a hard road ahead of them. Saban is definitely the #1 coach right now.

I so hope that osu can play alabama next year for the NC. Im alrwady looking at flights to LA, alabama looked great tonight but I would love to see braxton up against them in the worst way. I can't wait for osu to knock alabama off that perch. Go bucks

Fuck his wardrobe. If he's not draining Little Nick's jet black blood in a bath tub somewhere right now, this night will have been a failure.

    The speed factor

Urban agreed that speed is the difference, but no one talks the size factor. I would be interested to see an average height and weight of Alabama and LSU compared to other conferences. That is no accident. They recruit size. The poor ND line looked like a bunch of short fat kids trying to stop a wall of muscle from the OL to the RB to the QB. The worst LB that i saw was Depriest, big but looked fat and slow and took the wrong angle. That is why i like our 2013 class, but i am disappointed when it comes to OL recruits. Hopefully we take six OL next year.
congratulations to Alabama and hope to see that crystal soon.

Was watching the post-game and Urban made a point. How does 'Bama not have attrition in the coaching ranks? Why don't people hire their assistant coaches there? Urban said he's still trying to figure that out...

Yep, and I'm sure they're all paid pretty decently, or at least compensated otherwise well enough that the only thing they would consider leaving for would be a head coaching position at a school like Texas, USC, etc. And even then, having to possibly face Saban in a big game is probably a deterrent as well.
