Porter Gustin (failer of PED tests)

Huge momentum in our favor no doubt, but that is coupled with us staying pretty persistent throughout the process. We've just cranked it up full-boar after the championship. I really like our odds at this point.
I like our Odds because of how bad Porter wants to be able to compete for Championships... USC is a great program but it's still going to be a few years until they can consistently beat teams like Oregon/Stanford/UCLA

Yep. This time next year he very well could be celebrating his being a part of our 2015 national championship team, and that's not a stretch at all.

I'd imagine a huge majority of those predictions are months old at least.

Ohio State has a ton of momentum right now.

Most reports say the thing Gustin cares about most is winning championships, so Meyer being Meyer plus being the most recent champs is a huge double whammy.

Meyer was in Utah this week and Gustin will be in Columbus this weekend with his family.

Huge, huge momentum for OSU.
Oh, and I forgot to mention Urban Meyer is still kinda a big deal in Utah thanks to his tenure as HC there and putting together the best season ever for the Utes.

I'm probably missing a few other reasons why this recruitment is lining up so well. He just seems like a Meyer kid through and through- they expect him to hit it off very well with Bosa on campus I believe.

I've seen this smart comparison elsewhere so I can't take credit:

No it's really not a stretch and if USC is going to Angle playing time? Well We have no proven commodity at the end opposite Bosa and not that much behind Bosa in terms of PROVEN talent. The opportunity would be there to play substantially and barring injury I think that'd be the case

I think the PT angle is laughable for Dlineman because LJsr optimally wants to rotate guys in. If he's in the 2 deep(which is very realistic) he could see substantial playing time. And know that he'd be playing against a top notch Oline in practice

Well while I like Holmes, but if he can see time last year then Porter will next year as well if he comes aboard. He could be seeing good playing time year ONE while making another run for a NT.

Gustin Could Give OSU Strong Finish
“I think beating Nick Saban and ’Bama and then rolling through Oregon made a difference,” Kimmel said. “He’s always been interested in Ohio State, and it’s always been something they’ve talked about. They’ve always really wanted to make that official visit, but once that championship happened and it wasn’t supposed to be Ohio State’s year and yet it was, I think it really clicked.
