I believe it's clear we have a realistic shot at Sweat, he visited and responded well, but how real of a shot do we have with Roundtree and Malik? I know that Malik will be visiting, so that's a major plus, but it's been hard for me to evaluate our chances at Roundtree? I keep seeing board members guess at us ending up with him but I haven't really seen many developments with him either. Just curious.

He is not really doing the recruiting gig full time right now but Roundtree taking time to come up to Columbus on his own dime lets you know we are right in the thick of it at the very least. I put our odds with Jefferson between 0-1% (cue Lloyd "So you're saying there is a chance!"). Sweat is very realistic and I said Kirk is on the top of my wish list, but Sweat is changing that fast...

Not to get too far off topic but Roundtree has already been here once and will be back for an official and Jefferson has been adamant he will take an official to OSU. Both will be tough pulls but I think has a shot with Roundtree and getting Jefferson for an official is big.

Perfect. Sweat is a recruit that defines that marathon and not the race approach...just keep persistent in building relationships with the recruits and coaches, keep getting him up to Columbus, and have a good season (plus demolish the Hokies). I think if we do that, Urban and LJ Sr. win out. I know I said Kirk was my #1 on the wish list, but Sweat should be there (obviously, either one would be huge). I get the Clowney comparisons...not quite there but he is about as close as I have seen. In an ideal world, he visits and all of Cornell, Wilkins, and Gallimore are there. Throw him in with Jones and Cornell...yikes. Throw him in with Jones, Cornell, Gallimore, and Wilkins? :evil:

I agree with you...far from over and this could go any which way, but I just get the feeling we come out on top here. I always like to throw out a "shocker" commit and while I doubt this would "shock" anyone, Sweat is my guy here. Hilliard, Cornell, Harris, and Sweat. Hello 5 star Saturday.
