VA S Quin Blanding (Virginia Signee)

Bump. Would love for coach to be able to talk to Quin today. "Did you happen to catch the game last night?"

Still holding out hope for the flip here.

** We are in a dead period for us contacting recruits correct? When does that end?

It's currently an "evaluation period":

ncaa.org said:
*Evaluation period: Not exceeding a period of 42 evaluation days (54 for U.S. service academies) during the months of September, October and November selected at the discretion of the institution and designated in writing in the office of the director of athletics; authorized off-campus recruiters shall not visit a prospective student-athlete’s
educational institution on more than one calendar day during this period. All other dates shall be considered a quiet period.

That is in effect until 12/1/13. Obviously the recruit can contact the coaches. Often the coaches will contact the player's HS coach and request that the recruit call them. That's one way around it. Suffice it to say, if the staff wanted to be in touch with Blanding, they would find a way. Whether or not he is listening at this point I'm not sure.

You can follow @Firemikelondon on Twitter. The way he botched the drive at the end of the 1st half against Georgia Tech is only fueling the fire.

... for the team. But 123 tackles individually, that is something phenomenal at any position, especially for a safety.

What matters more than the team? If Safety is making that many tackles...there is a problem.

Edit: Both of UVA's safeties were leading tacklers...the 3rd leading tackler, OLB, was 22 behind the 2nd place SS and 37 behind Quinn.

Issues..

Quin had an extremely successful first season....2nd team all conference safety with...Jeremy Cash, small world! Only FR, true or RS, on any of the 3 defensive teams in the ACC.

Kid has great instincts though and supports on the run extremely well as London loves to bring him up.
