This is a very non-thump, thump-esque post in that he is not a coffee drinker, but it is a banal question with a poll.

As for my answer, I go with Einstein's simply because they have a cafe in the building next to where I work. However, my true preference would be Dunkin Donuts.

Uhm.. Your missing one choice. At work, i know will only get my vote but my work gets this great local organic coffee called Ruta Maya... Really enjoy it. If not for that i hit up the Starbucks next to my work

On the weekends it's a pot of coffee at home

It's had to be well over a decade since i've left the house prior to having at least one cup of coffee. I have two brain cells and one doesn't work without caffeine. It's a safety precaution for all of you on the roads. Huge fan of Millstone hazelnut with no additives.

90% of the time, I get it at home. My coffee maker is programmed to go off at 6:30.

If I do get it on the outside, it's usually going to be at a Starbucks not out of any great love for the their coffee but because there's so god damned many of them that it's a convenience thing.

Usually at home. We grind and brew from different whole beans. I like dark roasts. If I am on the road then it is usually Starbucks. If no Starbucks then Einsteins followed by Panera. I hate when I have to go to the home office in Boston because all I can ever find is Dunkin Donuts and this guy doesn't run on Dunkins(sorry Grad).

Looking for input from the coffee snobs here. I'd like to get a drip coffeemaker to replace the Melitta that just died (it was a PITA but made pretty good coffee). Got a Cuisinart that is just OK at Costco; decided not to pay $300 for a Technivorm nor wait 3 months to buy a Bonavita online for about half that. Anything available locally (central OH) that I'd be happy with? Can't find a Capresso machine in stock anywhere.

Any recommendations? I need strong flavor, especially now that Doc tells me to cut to about 1/4-caf. I drink Italian Roast preferentially, but have to live with Starbucks Espresso Decaf for the decaf portion of the brew.

Don't recommend Zochiruchi or Mister Coffee - they're crap.

Our Krups is a decade old and going strong. We've probably averaged ~5 pots/week over that time. To get a stronger flavor (and save trees and a bit of money), we use a reusable metal filter, not the paper ones. We have the combo drip/ espresso but rarely use the espresso side. Cafe Il Duo I think it's called...
