WR James Clark (transferring to Virginia Tech)

Kid is ungodly fast...wow. No real in-depth analysis needed here, any lay football observer can tell he is special. And as Max said, love how he is really just concerned with handing the football to the ref...that was one of my favorite attributes of Larry Fitzgerald. However, he still plays with a lot of fire and confidence. If his academic house is in better order than Gibson, I prefer Clark (if there is a choice). Despite his height, I think he can play slot or flex out wide. Get him here and figure it out later.

I realize that this guy has publically at least been known to us Osu fans for only a few days, but my god he is a man among boys in his highlights. Anybody found the explaination of why Clark has flown so far under the radar, or why we have just now discovered him? Did James not have any junior film, or is there another reason why he isn't listed with the rest of the elite national wr recruits?

James Clark must be constructed entirely of carbon fiber composite.

New Smyrna Beach WR James Clark enjoys in-home visit with UF assistant Joker Philliips
By Chris Hays | Orlando Sentinel
January 14, 2013

New Florida wide receivers coach Joker Phillips has been courting New Smyrna Beach star James Clark quite heavily since he arrived in Gainesville last month. Phillips was visiting the 5-foot-11, 170-pound receiver again Monday night and Clark said he enjoyed his visit.

"In-home visit with Coach Phillips from Florida went well today," Clark wrote in a text message Monday night. "It was really a good chance to strengthen our relationship and get to know each other better."

Clark, however, who still has a visit remaining this weekend to either Clemson or Ohio State, and then his final official visit will be Jan. 25 to Florirda, wasn't quite ready to say the Gators had moved in front of the rest of his four finalists. Northwestern, which Clark visited in November, is also in the mix.

"Ehh, can't really say that until I visit," Clark texted.

He also said he should know by Tuesday which school he will visit this weekend between Ohio State and Clemson. He is coming off a visit to Nebraska and has also visited Purdue, so he has just two official visits remaining.

"It's still in the air," Clark texted. "I'll talk to both tonight so I'll know in the morning."

The speedy receiver, who has clocked a 100-meters in 10.4 seconds, caught 49 passes for 1,112 yards and eight touchdowns this past season. He

I guess he could always cancel the FLA visit

Seriously, pulling this kind of kid w/out an official visit would move Urban even higher into the legendary recruiter status. I would think if the staff really wanted him they would pull out all stops to make it happen even w/out an official visit but that would be tough. We are certainly behind the proverbial 8 ball in this one since we were late to the party. Still holding out hope though because this kid's film just JUMPS off the screen to me. Some players film just seem to show a totally different level of talent and this guy seems to fit that mold to me. C'mon Urban!!!!
