WR Ted Ginn, Jr. (Official Thread)

Amazing how Ginn wandered around the NFL for almost a decade not doing much but returning punts. Finally found a team that knows how to use him. How many coaches feel like idiots watching him play this season?
TGII is doing nicely but I doubt any coach is feeling poorly about any of this. I mean, he's doing really well but this isn't several years of massive numbers.

I think his point is that other coaches may be wondering if they indeed underutilized him. His YPC and TDs during both his years at Carolina are significantly better than any of his years elsewhere. Miami threw to him a lot, but didn't get as much production, with only 5 TDs in 171 catches over three years (1 TD per 34.2 catches). Both SF and Arizona didn't use him for shit. Carolina has gotten 15 TDs in 80 catches from him during his two seasons there (1 TD every 5.3 catches).

I'm glad Teddy is doing well but the fact that he's doing more now isn't just an indicator that others failed to properly use him, it's just different situations and that's ok too.

I'm glad Teddy and the Panthers are representing the school, but...

...after the 2006 Season I have always cringed whenever someone jumps on the shoulders/back of a Buckeye player after a touchdown (in the pros or college).

If I recall, someone did it to Zeke in the National Championship Game (my memory is foggy about it).

Ted Ginn was once just a draft bust. Now he's headed to the Super Bowl

After being picked ninth overall, Ted Ginn Jr. is widely regarded as a draft bust for the Miami Dolphins. But now, eight years later, Ginn is on a Super Bowl roster and having the best season of his professional career. How did we get here?

Td Ginn Jr. is something of a conundrum. Ohio State fans that don't spend much time watching the NFL remember Ginn as a breakout wide receiver during the Troy Smith era. I'll forever remember Ginn as offering the lone highlight in the 2007 Championship Game, when he took the opening kickoff back for a touchdown. Ginn left the game immediately when he was injured during the celebration of this run-back, which pretty much sums up the Buckeyes performance during the 41-14 loss to Urban Meyer's Gators. Nevertheless, I remember the pre-game anxiety fading with Ginn's return:
