I agree, all the sporting news sources were citing the ESPN report. If I believed conspiracies, I might wonder if ESPN put it out there hoping for a self-fulfilling prophecy.
I thought the defender got a piece of it, but I’m not 100% sure. But I will say that I was worried from the first punt on that he was taking too long to get the punts off. They’re going to have pick that up or we’re going to get blocked, undoubtably at the worst possible time.
No question he has exceeded any reasonable expectations to date, there is also also little question he holds the ball way too long. That will get him killed against some of the competition coming up. I’m just hoping that the game will start to slow down for him as the season progresses...
WTF is with Michigan coaches making it their primary job to work the refs? Is that some kinda core curriculum up there? I remember watching LLLLLoyd do that for his entire tenure. Assistants coached the game, he coached the refs. The hate will be strong with this one.
When he first took over up there, I was a bit concerned, given his history. And there's no doubt in my mind he can coach his players up. But now I realize it's pretty easy to get into his head. And Urban's just the one to do it.
