Preds spent practically the entire 3rd period in their D zone last night (Canucks with 37 shot attempts in the 3rd period, 84 for the game) but managed to hold on for a 4-1 victory. Of the 84 attempts only 18 got through. Preds blocked 32 shots. Unbelievable to spend so much time in the D zone...
US Women's National Team defeated Canada 1-0 in OT to secure 1st in their group and will have the #1 seed in the knockout stage of the world championship. Cayla Barnes and Hannah Bilka played a ton of minutes, especially down the stretch. Joy Dunne has been playing a fair amount but her minutes...
