OR did something similar 4 years ago. The roads in the area with totality are mostly state and county roads and they were worried about emergency vehicles not being able to get through. Of course the population density around Niagra pretty much eclipses :) the whole population of OR!

Well, it has been a long time...but I think the reaction to the aforementioned may have been more vitriolic (at least among the rust belt working class). I've lived on the west coast for over 40 years and painted finger and toe nails just don't bug me (and it is just not just hipsters and...

LOL, they made fun of Ken "The Hawk" Harrelson for having "long" hair and flamboyant clothes in the late 60s...(and then there's Namath). If the kid delivers no one will care. if he doesn't he'll be soon forgotten anyways. That being said...he's from SC--fuck him (pretty in pink or not).

So, is this a new ad campaign for Kentucky to attract tourists? Come, be disappointed. Drink bourbon, buy coal and leave. 8D

My wife first looked into Texas for this. Decided air quality (visibility), costs and safety was better in Mexico!

Wife and extended family have been planning this for almost 4 years (major eclipse chasers). Have a house reserved in Mazatlan. Kid and her BF are currently in Mexico City and will be joining them. I'll be enjoying my vacation by sitting at home drinking beer in my underwear.

Funny, can't think of a single pizzeria that doesn't make their own dough (maybe some chains or places in the burbs...?) .The bigger debate would be if you have any clue where the wheat for your flour is grown.8D

Probably not a "celeb" outside of Portland and the hardcore baking community but perhaps worth a mention here: https://www.yahoo.com/news/bob-moore-bob-red-mill-023820082.html

Yeah...that's a timing nightmare. I've always used dried spaghetti.

Maybe could of used more water. Add a little at time...too much water ruins it. I'll saute the pancetta and then let cool. When the pasta is about done I turn the pan back on low, remove a cup of water and transfer the pasta to the pan wihtout draining. should be enough water (from the undrained...

Did you reserve some hot pasta water to blend in? Make carbonara quite a bit but never thought about "shine".
