I can't off the top of my head think of any 5 star the Huskers have had on our roster. Tyreke should be a great addition to what has been a porous defense for a decade now.
What are your guys' thoughts on him? How much & how well has he played? Do you think he can help us?
If nothing else, and it's not a "moral victory" to say this:
1) OSU proved itself to be among the nation's elite. This game could have gone either way.
2) OSU gave the defending champs all they wanted and then some
Don't feel too bad... I look forward to the day when Nebraska loses a nat'l...
Go gittem today, Bucks. Pretty sure the whole BIG is pulling for ya. Speaking for Husker Nation, we all want to see a BIG 10 team take it ALL. Grind Lawrence's stupid mullet in the dirt!
Hey Buckoffs. Glad to see a BIG team lead the Playoff polls for once. And not only that... PSU is #4.
This Husker will be pulling for you guys the rest of the way... shut the big southern mouths of the talking heads on ESPN & so forth and STAY ON TOP.
Good luck Bucks. ( I dunno what your...
BuckIpower, I've been wondering what game your tagline comes from? "Can they catch him? NO they can't!"
Something similar for us would be from Tommie Frazier's magical 75-yd TD vs. Fla in the '95 Fiesta Bowl:
"Look at Tommie Frazier! How many tackles can one man break?" :)
You guys are really, really good. I mean, we all knew going in you're the best team in the BIG this year. But to put a curb-stompin' of that magnitude vs a not-too-bad Nebraska team was impressive, to say the least.
I think our guys were a bit (!) out of their element on the big stage Sat...
Yeah, me too, but OU had their choice of rivals to stick with when the BIGXII formed. They hitched their wagon to Texas instead of Nebraska because at that time we were putting up 60-70 points on them.
I was actually at Arrowhead for that game. I had bought BXIICCG tickets weeks ahead of time. Huskers and Sooners generally respect each other quite a bit, but the Sooner fans that night were SO goddam cocky and mouthy I was glad they lost.
I'll be around here, win or lose, next week. I get my Interwebs at the local library which doesn't re-open until Tuesday. Definitely I"ll check in then.
Thanks for the welcome
Not the victory but the action
Not the goal but the game,
In the deed, the glory. GO BIG RED
All of this is true. Nebraska's pitiful downturn started (and I hate to admit this as much as I hate eating a grub worm...not that I have) at Colorado with a 2001 loss. We were ranked #1 going in, but, having not beaten us in over a decade, CU had been getting closer and closer every year; and...
What are your thoughts on a walk-on starting at G?
My thoughts drift back sadly to the days of the pipeline offensive lines we use to have. Wilks, Weigert, Zatechka, etc. I weep for our O lines recently... hopefully Frosty can renew that tradition at some point.
