I'm perfectly willing to accept a ding based on the content of my posts (the ding itself is meant to either approve/disapprove of a specific post): I just hate when they are in retaliation for honest disapproval, or when they are otherwise personal in nature.

I really don't understand what I've done here to risk a reprimand--this is a pre-existing thread about dings/rep, and I weighed in with my own critical opinion. I was only provoked to do so because of a lengthy "discussion" with LJB that started because he couldn't tolerate my single negative...

It was basically all high-rep veterans who submerged me on the pot issue, and I'd estimate that only about a third of my incoming dings are actually signed (which explains why I only sign some of my own) And I don't mean to generalize about all mods, since some are simply concerned with running...

The whole BP rep game (not that it's specific to this site) is indeed pretty ridiculous. Mods in particular (this is not a bash, LJB, just a comment, in a thread meant for this type of thing, so put your red pen back in your pocket protector) seem completely unwilling to accept a single ding...

That's still a heck of a lot of smokers! At Ohio State alone that's over 10000 students toking up once a month, and I bet most of them would pass for a "normal college student", if there is such a thing. :D

R D R R :tongue2: Strohs, the testing is obviously more drug-oriented, since as you mention alcohol testing is limited by time; I think the program's focus on alcohol will have more to do with education, prevention, and "counseling and follow-up care" (from the Dispatch).

JT made it very clear, talking to Herbie after the PC, that he does not intend to change his methods of dealing with individual infractions, because that would be in effect punishing players for all the transgressions that came before them. He questioned why a punishment that was good enough...

Seems like Illinois is looking good with a number of top recruits around the Chicago area--is this due to having a better recruiter in Ron Zook?
