i agree with the offense being surprisingly decent- better than the '02 version that won the NC. however, we have yet to face a defense that will test us, especially with a great pass rush, since boekman has had all kinds of time to throw up till now. we all remember how good the o-line looked...
I'm worried about the purdue game in a couple of weeks- saine probably won't be ready, so hopefully beanie will be full strength. they're gonna put up some points with their spread attack, and granted their competition so far as been subpar, a night game on the road is going to be tough. we...

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida offensive lineman Ronnie Matthew Wilson was arrested Thursday, accused of firing a semiautomatic rifle in the air during a dispute with another man that started in a nightclub.

reminds me of when damon moore hurt his shoulder diving into the endzone celebrating a td against michigan st. in '98- i think he stayed in, but of course we ended up getting beat back and burress torched our secondary
i agree w/ you that we're lucky to have a class act in tressel, but there's really not much whining you can do when you get beat 41-14. i mean, it's not like one call decided the game.
i completely agree we lost the battle in the trenches, but it was the speed of their rush ends on the d-line that gave us fits all night long. all the more perplexing why we didn't run the ball to slow down their pass rush.
my opinion on what went wrong:
1. gave them a short field 3 times in the first half (dumb personal foul penalties, troy's fumble inside his own 10...), and they scored a TD every time
2. our o-line got whipped all night long by their d-line. troy was under pressure right from the beginning...
the commentators were MUCH better than the ABC/ESPN guys. charles thomas is really insightful, and it helps that alvarez is just fresh off of coaching (unlike some of the old, ESPN former coaches who can't contribute anything substantial nowadays like lee corso, bill curry...). it just seems...
he has become an SEC homer, but i still respect him b/c he's a relatively level-headed analyst who actually brings up relevant points. as opposed to Lou "I'm always going with Notre Dame" Holtz or Lee "I just flip a coin to pick my winner" Corso.
