Not sure I follow, but are you saying playing in-eligible players does not give the team a competitive advantage? So if Bauserman played instead of TP2, there is no difference? :!
Back to Bri'Onte, he would fit well in OSU offense, however, he might not get much playtime as long as the big...
My point is that the hype people are starting to give him is reaching Justin Zwick type levels, yet the production is just not there. Now granted, his first three games came against TOP LEVEL competition, but still, I would like to see a little more from him first. Then again, if UofM, tOSU...
Braxton has played a brutal schedule so far, but the kid is still putting up great numbers. Duane Long said he is the best player he has ever seen in Ohio. And he is only a junior.
180 YPG (140 passing, 40 rushing), 45% completion percentage, 8 TDs, 7 Turnovers.
Nice! I wish you could have typed my reply for me! Honestly, the only offensive position I think where system REALLY matters is QB. I mean, receivers, you had Crabtree in a 5-wide set and Maclin & Percy in spread offenses. Top tight ends have played in a multitude of offenses and same with...
It will be very difficult for Michigan to overcome the offensive system issue. Other coaches will say NFL teams only want pro-style lineman, UM will point to Jason Smith while also saying the teams have been impressed with UM lineman in the past such as Baas, Backus, Long, and Hutchinson...
I understand this is a tOSU board so Michigan should be ripped on all the time, but what in the world are you talking about? The system that an offensive tackle plays in doesn't matter one bit to NFL scouts. Things like size, frame, height, quickness, power, technique, etc. are all much more...
DeAver had some amazing track times this weekend
10.66 100 meter dash and a 21.64 200 meter dash (both electronically timed). That 100 meter time is the best in Ohio this year and is amazing for a junior. Should have a good shot to win the state title this year.
Fitz Update!
For the season, Toussaint now has 81 carries for 1,090 yards (13.5 yards per carry) and 15 rushing touchdowns ? He also has a 58-yard receiving touchdown and one kickoff return for 25 yards.
What happened in his other games?
He seemed to blow up in this game (200 all purpose yards) but only had 600 APY the rest of the year.
Was he injured this season and it lingered into the track season? I really wanted to see him break the 100 meter dash record in Michigan (10.54).
Got it. So to Tressel's comment, he was saying that Rich Rod forced Barnum, Shaw and Roundtree to decommit from Florida/PSU/Purdue when in reality they wanted to play for those schools. Let the kids make their own decisions and don't strong arm them. That is low!
