I don't think Air has to be factored into this calculus yet. If I'm his dad, I'm saying, hold what you've got for now, soak it all in, and help them develop you and we can recalculate later. The portal, if necessary, is his friend when/if that time comes IF he's gotten as much out of his time...
I think there's more talent across the board now, but we've also had talented guys before and almost criminally failed to develop and coach them. Knowles & Co. are GETTING IT DONE. I LOVE seeing younger guys come in and ball and it's also good for recruiting. That doesn't happen unless...
I think many of us wondered, and it's still a fair question, whether being a CEO head coach would be too big for him; whether he could and/or would do it. How he handled this game with all of the Fox programming/involvement was only one data point as to the answer, but it certainly looked...
Agreed. I thought Day did a great job of it. He came across as knowledgeable and authentic and not the wound-up reactionary guy we saw a lot of last year. Watching and not knowing otherwise, you wouldn’t have been able to tell the heat he’s going to get if the 2024 campaign doesn’t go to...
I'd have to go back and watch his end zone throws again, but my thought at the time was that they were all catchable, none were way off target, and the incompletions were more about DB play rather than Howard.
Howard looked like a starting qb to me. Sure, he’s still learning this offense, but he looked like someone who’d done it before. Brown looks to me like he’s trying to play the part of a QB1. He may get there, but that’s the difference to me right now.
Going in we figured Sayin and Noland would have their own competition going at the back of the line, but it seems clear that it's now Sayin and Lincoln with Howard and Brown above them and he's banging on the door to be in that grouping.
Agree and I would add that a few missteps and/or injuries ahead of him and he could be the guy toward the end of the year. That's not ideal, and I hope we're not in that spot, but at some point ability, processing speed, and upside override game experience and B/B- play.
