Nutria, I'm pretty sure you have more posts in this single thread about LSU baseball than every other post in this section about Buckeye baseball. :D
Btw, 1st game of the supers may have been one of the best college games I've seen in a while. Gray was the real deal and Nola kept bringing it...
I think that not only did the SEC West "slip", but that the entire SEC "slipped" this year to be honest w/ you.
Not that there were not strong teams at the top, just a lot of really bad ones everywhere else. It seemed like there was a much bigger divide b/w the good ones (Bama, Georgia...
Oh I agree, I just had no idea that Florida Atlantic was an FBS school.
In my opinion, Alabama's only quality games were A&M, LSU, and Georgia. I guess you could make an argument for Miss St and Michigan, but it would be debatable.
On the flip side, who would you say Notre Dame's quality...
A few stats to make you care even less about this game...
Opponent......................Overall Team Def..........Overall Team Offense
ND's
Navy...............................52..................................68
Purdue.............................70..................................59...
I'm w/ ya Nutria. This one still hurts.
I think it hurts because I felt like they played more than good enough to win it. Mett showed up, our receivers actually started catching the ball, the offensive playcalling was good, and we were even able to run the ball efficiently on them.
I'm...
LSU's offensive line showed it had a pulse last week....I hope it continues. I almost feel sorry the defense.......for them to be as good as they are, only to watch an equally shitty offense the other half of the game.
Read it as SEC/Big 10 matchups, not SEC/Big 12....but those would be
LSU vs Oklahoma St
Bama vs Oklahoma
Arkansas vs Kansas St
Georgia vs Baylor
South Carolina vs Missouri
Auburn vs Texas
Florida vs Texas A&M
Vandy vs Iowa St
Miss St vs Texas Tech
Kentucky vs Kansas
I'm a bit biased as well, but I think LSU would have a valid case.
If they would lose to Arkansas, that would give them a 2-1 record vs Top 5 BCS teams to go along w/ a win over Top 25 Auburn (have no idea how they are still in the Top 25, but they're still there for now).
If they would win...
That would be a tough one to bet in my opinion. Georgia playing w/ nothing to lose and LSU having a berth to the MNC on the line. A "hot" Murray could give the LSU defense all they wanted.
I haven't watched much of Georgia this year, but I've heard good things about their defense. Do you...
Great article written by espn about Les Miles and his balance between being a football coach vs a father/husband.

I'm not sure if Arkansas realizes that the points scored before halftime actually count towards the final score. This makes the 3rd or 4th game that I can remember this season where they just don't show up at all during the 1st half.
Freshman QB, in his first start, on the road, in Tiger Stadium......could be a long day for your boys Gator.
Then again, I'm never confident when it comes to playing Florida. And I damn sure wouldn't give 14 pts.
I can't believe I have to wake up at 6 a.m. to go to see a Tiger game against Kentucky.....
Normally I would take the visitors getting 29.5 pts in an early game, but Kentucky is absolutely awful. Easily battling Ole Piss for the cellar this year in the SEC. Think I'm just going to avoid any...
Defensively, yes, LSU looked that good. Very quick to the ball all night. No sacks, but a lot of pressure w/ it's front four.
Offensively, still a lot of question marks. I don't think the 98 passing/175 rushing yds tell the whole story, but still a long ways away from being an offensive...
