I motion to add "tOSU Legend" to the title of this thread.
I know it's been said many times, but it bears repeating. What Jones accomplished over these last 3 games is simply amazing. Finishing strong with a decisive National Championship (along with an outstanding team performance) is one for...
I just saw "Prisoners" the other day at the theater.
Really good movie. Definitely a few notches above your typical kidnapping crime mystery. All of the characters were casted perfectly and the story was definitely original enough to separate itself from the stereotypes.
I would highly recommend picking one or two major cities and spending more time fully enjoying everything they have to offer. Bouncing from country to country is great and all but it's exhausting and unless you have tons of time (months) you just get a little taste of everything, rather than the...
His and Her Diary
Wife's Diary:
Tonight, I thought my husband was acting weird. We had made plans to
meet at a nice restaurant for dinner. I was shopping with my friends all
day long, so I thought he was upset at the fact that I was a bit late,
but he made no comment on it. Conversation...
I agree, I had high hopes that MOS would succeed in the TDK dark-comic book path, but it was a little bit of a letdown. Still a decent movie and worth seeing, but I was hoping for an epic super hero movie and it wasn't.
They pretty much had a perfect cast but the movie was very much lacking...
I think that most of us can agree that LeBron is not, nor ever will be Michael Jordan. They have different games and Jordan was a competitor unlike anybody we've ever seen in sports (except maybe Tiger Woods in his prime, but that's another discussion).
However, there is no denying LeBron's...
It's an interesting thought, but I wouldn't be able to support this idea. I realize that professional sports are completely different than any other career, but a person still has the right to choose their career path and have some free will in where they live/play. They owe their drafting team...
Coming from someone who spent the first part of their life in upstate New York (Syracuse), avoid it if possible.
It's not a terrible place (certainly not compared to Detroit), but the winters are long, brutal, and depressing. I have extended family in Buffalo and they're reasonably happy but...
Barcelona has a pretty cool airport. Inside the terminals they have a pretty good sized mall with places to go walk around while you're waiting. It also has a lot of natural lighting and isn't depressing like a lot of airports can be.
Let me rephrase myself-
I understand the hate is not derived from him donating to his high school. I just found it amusing that a relatively thoughtful (not saintly) gesture could be spun in such a way.
Also, let me clarify. I thought "The Decision" was the most disgraceful event to ever...
Michael Redd had some pretty good years, but I agree that Conley will surpass him pretty soon. Hopefully he reaches his potential and sustains it over a career.
I'm a huge fan of the show and it's become one of my favorite TV series ever, right up there with The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire, and Homeland.
However, I've never read the books and really would like to. I've been told by some people that the first couple aren't as good and that the 3rd is...
Only in an Ohio-sports based web forum can an athlete donate to his High School and then get blasted for it.
I hated the way LeBron left Cleveland as much as anybody but it's been 3 years..... let it go. Let. It. Go.
I haven't read it yet, but I highly recommend "Winter of the World" by Ken Follett. It's the second in his trilogy about the 20th century and highlights the World War II era from the perspective of families/couples from the different countries in the war.
I just read "Fall of Giants" which was...
Recently at an outdoor market I came across a guy selling a ton of original Life magazines from all different time periods. After looking through a bunch of the World War II and sports related ones I found this gem from October 22nd, 1945:

October 22...
This is just another depressing reminder at what a waste of talent Pryor was.... Amazing ability and potential that was squandered by poor judgement.
However, hopefully Braxton will continue to keep getting better as he has been and make us forget all about that.
The Dark Knight Rises-
Great movie. Not as good as TDK, but I don't think there was anything they could have possibly done to top that masterpiece.
I went into the theater with high expectations and wasn't disappointed. Great story, top-flight acting, and tied together well. IMO a very good...
