I, for one, am very glad Jake Ballard finally weighed in on this issue. I have been waiting to hear his opinion since this QB controversy began. (yes, that's sarcasm)
I find it pretty amusing that the pendulum has swung all the way back on this issue, and now, apparently, there are many out...
I hope you are right.......the million dollar question now (or 3.5 million dollar question I guess) is whether this staff can hold this team together. There is still alot to play for, but after two years of public ridicule and consistently not being able to put it together in big games, their...
Interesting discussion...
First of all Todd Boeckman is the starter, will be the starter all year, and if past history has any bearing, will be given a very long leash. It is clear that JT does not like quarterback controversies, so unless there is a total collapse by Todd there won't be one...
"Even if the Buckeyes use the back door to the Louisiana Superdome by finishing in the top two of the final BCS standings, they don't stand a chance against West Virginia."
Gotta love it! I mean, WVUs a great team, but does any "journalist" out there actually have the ability to praise one...
Oh8ch,
Great evaluation as usual, but I'm not sure I completely understand your 8th point about the "quarterback controversy". While TS didn't have his best game and JZ did look good in a mop-up role, to insinuate that JT plays favorites and hasn't give Justin a chance seems a little off...
Alright, I'm pretty new here, but I'll jump in.....
On the surface, this seems fairly easy, you gotta go Krenzel right? I mean, the NC and all, what's to discuss. If you really think about it though, things are not that obvious. We all love Krenzel, of course, he was clutch, made big plays...
Say what you want but the only dominant RB on that list is Clarett (when he was healthy of course). Went Pittman for the other choice for his versatility.
Wilhelm inside: Surprisingly, it seems to me that he is a little underrated in Buckeye lore. He was a great player and All-American the NC year, and OSU would probably won at least 2-3 more games the year before had he not gotten hurt.
Hawk: given
Carpenter: Gets my nod over Grant because he...
Corner: Gamble and I went Fox over Youboty and Clements. I always though Clements was a little overrated, lots of talent but got toasted alot. In hindsight, Youboty may have been a little better overall, but Fox was a better tackler and while he gave up some passes, he never really seemed to get...
Congrats to Poz, but I find it interesting that the Big 10 coaches and media, who have obviously seen more of these 2 than any other group in the country, voted AJ Defensive POY in the conference. Poz is a stud, but playing inside in PSU defensive scheme he should have more tackles than AJ, and...
While its interesting and fun to compare the 2 teams, the real issue here is that for the last 3 1/2 years now, how many times can you think of where you really felt that we were efficient and in control of the game on offense ? How many times have you really thought we had rhythm on offense...
