Top 5 or top 20? Is there any chance w/o horrble luck with injuries they'll not be top 3 in overall defense. Returning talent, schedule, and obvious trajectory make first in that category likely this year.

Name or not, he'll likely be the best player on the entire team. He was the best all around d-lineman the second half of last year as a true freshman coming off ACL surgery.

I, for one, will be happy if he never comes back. Smells too much like a Terrell Pryor type--a potential cancer in the locker room and for the program.
Gamble wasn't an upperclassmen when his primary position became CB and Fragel moved one spot down...the bigger point here might be that most of these guys were starters already.
I'm not discounting the optimism completly...just pointing out that for every Hooker, there's 50 guys everyone gets...
