I could be completely wrong but Coach Hazell is probably recruiting him because of the region, not because they see him as a TE. I assume Hazell has a lot of NY/NJ connections from his past coaching history.
I don't mind this offer one bit. His tape is one of the most impressive i've seen not only this year, but last year too. His vision and balance are Clarettesque. The staff must think highly of him if he is the only RB offer handed out.
Running back is a position where you can never have...
Its always good to see city league players get a shot at being a buckeye. Personally I think he is going to make a great safety. Congrats Verlon! :gobucks1:
He was doing a Columbus dance called the wacky wood. I haven't seen anyone do that for a couple of years.
YouTube- The Wacky Wood Pt. 2
Still a terrible dance though....
Would the staff really want to take another back? Next years stable will be Saine, Herron, Hall, Hyde, Berry, Smith and Martin with the only senior being Saine. :yow2:
I am not sure if that is 100% true. Dex may infact have a partial tear. But a severe stretch of a ligament is also a sprain. If he is expected to possibly miss only two weeks there might not be a tear.
It depends on how much more he grows. Some of the most dominant DE in the NFL are 6'6 pushing 6'7. Jared Allen, Jason Taylor, Mario Williams, Julius Peppers and Richard Seymore to name a few. Calais Campbell is 6'8 290 lbs.
Are you guys watching just the Scout highlights because his Rivals highlight tape is spectacular. His running style is a bit ackward, he is a long strider like TGII, maybe alittle ridgid but it does not affect him in the speed department. I counted at least 3 times where he should have been...
Scout.com: Michigan Offers SE Fla. CB/QB
Just got a Michigan offer. I can't read it but from watching video on youtube and rivals he might be able to play QB in RRODs offense. He has a pretty strong arm with a very fast release. It is hard to judge accuracy from a highlight tape.
He looked Reggie Bushesque in some of those clips. Specifically about 3/4ths of the way in where he stops and lets people over pursue then cuts back across that field(ala Bush's run vs. Fresno State). At first I thought he might have problems with trying to dance too much rather than go upfield...
With that age group I would get a Wii. It is geared to a more family environment. I had both 360 and PS3 but gave up on 360 after my second one failed. The gaming difference(360/PS3) is not as big as one makes it out to believe either. The playstation is just now gaining steam and will be a...
I like this offer alot. Grad took the words out of my mouth, he is a "smooth" runner with a good blend of power and speed. I don't like to throw comparisons around but his style reminds me of McGahee pre-injury at Miami.
