I’m not sure this rule fits into this category, however a lot of the rules OHSAA uses are passed by the schools. Some of those rules make absolutely no sense to me (and others). I just want everyone to understand it may not be OHSAA doing (but it may too).
I think we agree on most of this. The rules need to be changed. OHSAA needs to adapt.
However, as long as there are rules, the schools need to know them and make sure the students are aware of them and the possible conflicts. I may be on an island on this but I had a good friend who had a...
Don’t disagree the rule is wrong but rules are rules and the HC and AD should be teaching kids about the rules and the adults should be held responsible!
OHSAA shouldn’t be blamed for this. It is in their rules. Why weren’t the Head Coach and AD there to explain the rules? I do understand the frustration with some of the rules but this one should have been understood by the adults at his school.
Probably a dumb question, since SCUM is going to try and get an injunction, could the Commissioner prohibit Ped St, Maryland and OSU from playing them?
BIG Commissioner should notify SCUM at 11:55 am on Saturday the entire football program is shut down for 2 weeks beginning immediately. No coaching, no player meetings, everything is locked up. This cancels Ped St and Maryland and gives them 5 minutes to get dressed for The Game or forfeit it.
Brian Kelly should just hand over his signals to the coaches of his opposition for the rest of the year and not be allowed to change them since this isn’t a big deal.
The NCAA can’t do anything fast in this situation (or any other). In this case, it isn’t just Michigan that cheated. South Carolina knowingly accepted illegal information. The NCAA needs to figure out how to punish everyone. It is up to the BIG, the University and the FBI.
First time posting. I’ve been thinking about expansion a lot. I don’t think the BIG is looking at this with a wide enough lens. Here are my thoughts.
Add the Ivy League schools (obviously not for FB competition). Gives BIG the NE market and they can play FB on Thursday and Friday nights.
