Wetzel in particular hit he ball well-- but chased down by the OP OF. OP RF looked like a player but that one throw to the plate was weak (being kind). I was actually expecting a little more from OP. OSU offense looks very similar to the offense I've seen for the past 7-8 year
DaddyBigBucks -- time may have embellished my memory of the Lanese catch but it is the only catch I can remember where the receiver was parallel to the ground, stretching for the ball. Truely a great individual effort -- not a game winning catch and one that most "kids" are not even aware of it...
Just to clear the air, if Grant plays at OSU he will be a star -- and I hope he does.
Unfortunately, this mess - and negative news - is not over. The pressure for JT to leave (for the sake of OSU) will only intensify as will the pressure for OSU to start over with a clean slate. As it stands, at...
Military dependent attending an american school. Been in Europe approx. 3 yrs. Sounds like he will go pro. Surprised GB would make "promise" of starting ss (if, in fact he did) but then again GB has shown in a short amount of time that OSU BB has changed.
Pat Hayden isn't wasting time making his mark at USC. Kreuter's teams got killed by UCLA and that's not going to cut it at USC. Won't have an effect on the Buckeyes at the D-classic -- USC's not changing players between now and then.

BayBuck -- I guess we know where you stand re his salary. Does seem absurd to argue against those achievements. Unfortunately, for me, the last few years have left a sour taste re BT. Not sure about you but I have sat thru virtually every game. I can't tell you how disappointing it has been...
I believe BT made 330K when he retired. Too much? Many people would say no. They look at grad. rate, gpa of team (over 3.0), players that rep. the university well, trouble free roster -- in addition to on field success (so what if it's not against great teams). Those points plus HOF honor seem...
Well that could be but only because base is the easiest for reporters to find and thus report. Often the additional monies are hidden in %s or simply buried in salaried data. The article re Maloney is one of the most explicit you will see --not only breaking out base from additional but giving...
Steve19 -- I guess my comment centers on the JT process and the flexability therein. Seems like felonies should be handled differently than misdemeanors -- as they apply to the football program. The rule seems a little bureaucratic for a smart guy like JT. IMHO Henton is paying more than most...
Seems like the bottom line is that Henton will be cleared (or plead to a minor violation) but he has been and continues to be "punished".
In the end everyone will say too bad. The cop and JT had no choice. And Henton still pays a very steep price.
