'04 PA QB Anthony Morelli (Penn State signee)

prime example of a guy who has all the tools except the most important one, the proper head to play football. Sometimes we look at potential in combines more time, than whether or not the kid can actual play football.

It seems Morelli has a few things to "get off his chest".

Morelli Critical of Former High School Coach

from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Re: He wouldn't send out tapes. He just wouldn't support me like other coaches support their players. He wouldn't help me out.

He didn't really care about getting his kids scholarships and talking to coaches. He didn't go that second mile to help kids get to the next level.

To late now, but he should have transferred to Glenville.

Seeing stories like this really makes you appreciate what Ted Ginn Sr does even more.

Seeing how Morelli's development was handled at Penn State makes me very glad we have a group of coaches that will stick by their guns, not rushing players into early playing time - simply because said player (or a family member of said player) thinks they are ready.

I read a funny story on one of the PSU boards concerning Morelli. According to Mike Madden, Morelli was set to take a recruiting trip to USC, but instead of actually touring the campus and meeting the coaches, he and his brother spent the entire time at the beach, and never even met with Carroll.

What a douche...
