Oatis scored twice... both runs... but his Chino Cowboys lost on a 2 pt conversion in the last 30 seconds... 22-21

Newspaper article said it was a very difficult game but when Chino had to have it... they consistently went to Oatis.. including 7 running plays in a row ending on a 3 yd TD run

Oatis enjoyed his official visit to Notre Dame. A decision could come soon after his visit to Columbus. The Buckeyes are currently 3rd on his list but things could change after his visit.

“It’s going to be a tough decision,” Oatis said. “Notre Dame and UCLA bring a little more to the table.”

There is also a video update on Rivals and Oatis says Notre Dame is his leader because of their alumni and the amount of people involved in Notre Dame football. He also really likes Tyrone Willingham.

Oatis may make a decision after his Buckeye visit this weekend. He will be comparing visits as a key component in his decision (which school he fits in best). His mom likes UCLA but his dad is wide open. I think it is safe to say tOSU will really have to impress him this weekend to gain a commitment. It seems clear that tOSU running behind UCLA and ND.

LA Times.. Oct 21

Chino (5-1, 1-0) vs. Glendora (5-1, 1-0) at Citrus College, 7, tonight

Chino is averaging just under 40 points a game. A big part of its offense is running back Shawn Oatis, who scored three touchdowns last week in a 48-22 victory over Diamond Bar. Oatis, a Division I college prospect at safety, is headed to Ohio State on a recruiting trip this weekend. Oatis might be asked to carry an even bigger load against Glendora because quarterback Aaron Garcia injured his non-throwing shoulder while making a tackle after an interception last week. His status remains uncertain.
