HH was all over this one....

Oh yeah, heaven forbid that he's not 100% right with the inner workings of the minds of 17-year-old complete strangers. I know, let's just ban him because he knows jack shit. :roll1:

We sat down and reviewed all his options this morning. We talked with Wisky and Iowa coaches again at 10AM.

He made his choice and committed this morning. He feels he can start there as a freshman as they have rotating LBs and a 190lb weakside LB.

It really sucks, as he got no support from OSU, staff did not call him once after the wisky visit, nor did they call to explain to him what was going on with TS.

All in all, a giant disappointment that could have been changed with a little more work from staff.

BTW, I have nothing to do with recruiting for OSU. I can just tell you what is going through a kids mind at a given time. If you don't enjoy what I post, don't read it.

Merry Christmas.

Much thanks for the info Helpinghand. I, for one, value and look forward to your posts more than any other.

It's interesting that Ohio State could have had Hodge rated #1 on its recruiting board so recently, and then dropped its interest in Hodge completely.

I wonder if their interest dropped off or if they have been too busy dealing with bowl preparations and the recent image matters.

I don't feel as confident as I once did with Hodge.

He will make his intentions known by Friday.

I was on the sidelines at the Dolphin game and ran into him. He is really having a tough time with it, as there are a lot of benefits playing for Iowa, Wisky and OSU. In the end though, I am hopeful that he will make the right decision.
thanks hh i appreciate you, happy holidays

though i kind of new when i read this

Indeed thanks for your willingness to help us out with inside info.

I'm sure you're very used to putting up with stupid abuse like this over on that other site.

Ignore them, you're doing fine.

Hey-dumbass-unless you are a college coach,or a HS coach who regularly has players recruited by D-1 schools, you know two things about recruiting-jack and shit, and jack just left the building. You can watch a coaches playcalling, etc., and make intelligent criticisms if you are a halfway intelligent fan. Recruiting is an art, not a science, and Tressel looks a hell of lot more like a Picasso than you do...........

Maybe we should go with Michaelangelo rather than Picasso. Michaelangelo was not understood at times either, but he wasn't regarded as quite as wild and out of line as picasso during his era. Either way, I agree with your comment 100%. None of us here would have landed any of the players who weren't 100% buckeyes before they were recruited (like O'Neal).

Hodge picks Wisconsin

There were some who assumed he'd follow in his older brother's footsteps and play college football at Iowa, but late Tuesday night Elijah Hodge made the decision that instead of becoming a Hawkeye like Abdul, he wanted to be a Badger.

"I just had a special feeling when I was there," Hodge said. "Wisconsin just had so much to offer me, and it's where I want to be."

If older brother Abdul, a junior linebacker, doesn't leave Iowa early for the NFL, the two could meet Nov. 12, 2005 when the two schools are scheduled to play one another.

Hodge, the 6-1, 205-pound linebacker that led the Dillard defense, was a Sun-Sentinel preseason Super 11 pick.

He finished the season with 125 tackles, six sacks, four forced fumbles and two interceptions.

Good luck Elijah!

I think we should all respect HH he contributes more than anyone else and deserves the respect...Without him we wouldnt know nearly as much as we do...And dont blame him for being wrong a few times...everyone is wrong at times as you all are too...his predictions are just the same as ours except he knows a little more so we put more emphasis on his predictions than our own...but when he is wrong WHO CARES...we are all wrong everyday. We are lucky to have HH give us the information he gives us.
