Biography:
As a JR Hester was selected to the all-county and conference team despite only playing in four games because of a broken right leg. In those four games, he caught 11 passes for 350 yds and 5 TDs.
As a soph, he caught 21 passes for 370 yds and 8 TDs. Hester Jr., is the son of former Florida State standout Jessie Hester, Sr.

"I run good routes and I have great quickness and awareness. I play low and I'm shifty and quick. I'd like to be stronger and more powerful. I'd also like to get faster."

BPs 205/VJ 30

Hester has early offers from Miami and Georgia. His top 4 currently include the Canes, Georgia, Ohio State, and USC. Ohio State has recently been in touch and Hester is familiar with Coach Hazell from his days at Rutgers and wants to see what the Buckeyes have to offer. HH, know anything about this kid?

all I have been hearing on Hester is the Canes (no relation to Devin Hester) and FSU (father played there) but maybe his transfer to Glades will help- we have had some good receiver success with that school (Santonio and Dukes)

free insiders article on Hester

In the mid-80’s Jessie Hester was a standout for the Seminoles earning his way to honorable mention All-American honors. He scored 22 touchdowns during his four years, including 10 in his 1984 senior season He has a son who is being highly recruited by several big-time programs. Where do the Noles stand with Jessie Hester Jr.? “

“I written offers from Miami and Georgia,” Hester Jr. says. “I got calls from Southern Cal, Iowa, Alabama, Pittsburgh and Ohio State.

What about the Noles and Canes?

“Florida State called last night but I was out,” he said. “I talk with Miami Coach Cristobol on a regular basis.”

Right now Hester’s top three is Miami, Georgia and Pittsburgh.

“Florida State probably would move up my list if they started t recruit me hard but I doubt that’s going to happen,” he said.

Despite being upset with his childhood favorite, Hester Jr. will still camp in Tallahassee this summer. The 6-foot-0 and 163 pounder will also camp at Miami on June 12th.

This upcoming fall, he will also visit Miami and and Florida State unofficially for games. He will attend the Miami/Florida State and Florida and Florida State games.

The past three years, Hester Jr. has played for Wellington high school but he has plans to transfer to the school his father attended Belle Glades Central.

“I always wanted to go to Belle Glades,” he said. “They have more talent over there and it will prepare me more for college.”

Hester, Jr. will make a decision on National Signing Day.

“It’s going to have to be on February 4th,” he said. “There’s no way I can pick a school now. There’s too much pressure down here now for me to decide.”

I just watched Jessie Hester, Jr.'s videos on Rivals, and they are very impressive. Although his speed is "only" 4.53 (Nike-timed), he clearly has legit top-end speed, as no one caught him from behind. He is mostly a deep threat, but has the speed and moves to take a slant (or even a hitch) to the house. He has great hands (several nice grabs of overthrown balls) and concentration (many over-the-shoulder catches of deep throws, some in heavy traffic). On reel no. 1, he has an unbelievable punt return, reminiscent of Dante' Hall or Deion Sanders.

Jessie is a Rival 4* prospect, and worthy of the rating, IMO. Let's hope that the Belle Glades "pipeline" to OSU continues this season.

Jesse Hester

Hester announced his top 5 today with Miami, Fl and Iowa at the top but listed OSU in top 5 and said He will visit all 5 so it looks like my favorite and adopted second favorite Big ten teams get visits. On a side note the only DB at miamis camp that had any sucess jamming Hester at the line was M. Rolle the 2006 classes top player . Hester is by all accounts a very very good player. Good news all around.

Hester might visit

372048_JessieHester1.JPG

Coach Hazell visited Jessie on Tuesday night. They told him that tOSU was thinking about offering him but they wanted him to take his official visit soon (Jan. 4th). He said he is not sure he should go until he has an offer.

"Basically, they're waiting on a couple other wide receivers, and if they don't get them, I'm pretty much next in line. He also talked about the school and the majors they have--stuff like that.

tOSU in Hester's top 5

Insiders premium

Hester is listing tOSU in his top five (Iowa, Georgia, South Florida, Florida and Ohio State). tOSU has been in for an in-home visit but they have yet to offer. He will officially visit Iowa next week but has yet to set up any other visits.

This is what he says about tOSU.

“Two guys that I know go there now and they like it a lot.”

Insiders saying tOSU leads for Hester with former leader UF in third. The Belle Glade Pipeline is getting wider, me thinks.

Has he been offered? Visit set up?

The injuries slightly concern me, but I don't put any stock in his measurables. Glades kids just know how to play the game.

He says he is pretty wide open but tOSU is his current favorite with S. Florida 2nd and Florida 3rd. He canceled his Iowa visit this weekend.

He likes the Bucks because he knows a couple of people (Dukes, Santonio??) on tOSU and likes the Big Ten.

Neither questions were answered in this article. As of last week the answer to both questions was no. But maybe things have changed since he has moved the Bucks into the lead??

I'll split this thread.
