If we don't end up with the one of the best lb groups in the nation I am going to be disapointed we are sure in on a lot of very good ones.

He is excited by his upcoming tOSU visit. Coach Fickell had an in-home visit with Lamont and his mom on Monday. He likes Luke and the tradition of tOSU. He wants to study Communications (he has no grade issues).
He said he is still somewhat committed to Virginia. But Virginia told him they would recruit someone else for his spot as his visited other schools.
He is very aware of the tOSU LB depth chart and the opportunity to play early.

Good news buckskin. This lb class could fill up sooner rather than later like most of us expected. I believe that we take two of Robinson/Felder/McCoy/Hodge and pick up Lennix near the end of January.

Robinson had struck up a friendship with Coach Fickell before his serious car accident (in late May), and Fickell stayed in touch throughout his rehab. This is a big reason why tOSU is in play with Lamont and he is visiting this weekend.
Lamont seems like a real sharp guy. He has definitely done his recruiting homework on tOSU. Besides liking Coach Fickel, he also likes the idea of going to such a big university (he knew that tOSU battled Texas as the largest university) and he understands that C-bus is a growing city. He wants to be a communications major. In addition, it doesn't appear the MoC stuff will be much of a factor.
It can't be said enough what a great job Luke is doing recruiting kids to tOSU.

Lamont is still at tOSU and won't go home until tomorrow (Monday). This is his second official (Georgia last weekend) and he goes to OU next weekend.
Very short update- they only had one quote where he said that everything is going good so far. I assume they will do a more extensive interview after he gets home tomorrow night. :tongue2:

If they only have one quote whats the point in doing the interview. Especially if it is to say he is having a good time. Most players do on visits.

Update on Rivals says that Robinson will announce his College of choice today. Although he was a Virginia verbal early, as far as I know from the little snippet of the article, he has eliminated Virgina. I heard the Oklahoma visit went well, but he also visited tOSU earlier and has a great friendship with Coach Fickell. We need another LB and he would be a great get for Tressel and the Buckeyes!!!!!
