it sounds like (and i haven't read it so i could most definitely be wrong here) that brandon harrison isn't feeling enough of the love and is looking elsewhere to get his love. it is really early in the process for this it seems, ideally he sees the light and comes back into the fold if the coaches ever in fact do offer him a scholarship. he does have all kinds of speed and coverage ability.

Right on. You see it every year. Unfortunately some of these kids aren't willing to wait to get an offer. Can't say that I blame them. I'm almost 30 and I don't have much patience. With the numbers crunch this year I suspect Harrison won't be the last local kid who feels slighted. Hopefully he sticks it out and ends up a Buckeye.

Free Harrison article

Cornerback Brandon Harrison of Dayton Chaminade-Julienne is having a fast spring, at least on the track anyway. Harrison has been flying away from the competition so far.

"We just had a meet (Wednesday). I ran a 10.68 100 and a 22.7 200," he said. "I'm really just waiting for some competition. I can't wait until states."

Harrison may run into OSU commitment Jamario O'Neal down the line, who is also a fine track athlete.

"I already beat Jamario O'Neal in the 55," he said.

Harrison is also busy on the football front as he is heading to Nike Camp tomorrow.

"I will be coming up to Nike but we are going to MSL (in May) too," he said.

Who is recruiting him the hardest?

"I would say Iowa, Notre Dame, Penn State, and Northwestern," he said. "They're all sending me hand-written letters."

Nothing has changed as far as favorites go though as Brandon is waiting to see how things go over the next couple of months.

"Nothing much has really changed," he said. "We got all these camps coming up and everything. We'll see how things shake out."

seems like there is some nice friendly competition between Jamario and Brandon- hopefully they battle it out in C-bus next year :)

Are these guys camping at OSU? I'd like to see both of them in the S&G. I think Harrison could earn an offer at camp, while I think Ringer would have gotten one already if it weren't for grades.

There was a very nice Insiders update on Harrison today. He basically said if Ohio State offers he's a Buckeye. His recruitment seems to be picking up after his impressive Nike performance. You gotta think it's just a matter of time...

Michigan was in to see Harrison yesterday at a track meet. I heard he also spent classtime and track time with Denlinger right before. Are the wolves after our guys?

They usually are. Damn weasels!! :scum4:

If Harrison gets an offer, do you think he comes in as a CB or saftey. I know it was said he was a natural cb, but it seems that our coaches like talker corners, so he might need to move to saftey like Whitner.

We're pretty loaded at corner and safety but with Ginn, Jamario, Lane, the Underwoods, and Youboty at corner you would think safety. Harrison has the skills to play both so he'd be a very nice addition, IMO.

In the latest Rivals update, done by a USC site, Harrison mentions the fact he was born in California and distance from home won't be a factor in his decision. Could he be Petey's #1 guy??

The article talks about all the schools that have offered Brandon and all the schools that have been in touch. There is no mention of Ohio State in the article :paranoid:
