'05 OH LB Aaron Merrill (Youngstown State track signee)

Ginn4Heisman

Heisman
His name is Aaron Merrill, He plays for Leetonia HS in Ohio. He is a RB, LB, and K.

His parents are friends of my Parents. Last time I talked to his dad he said Aaron thinks it will be one of three schools: tOSU, Penn St, and scUM.

Just wondering if his parents are telling me a line of crap or not.

Dont get me wrong he is a great player and he will go some where. Just I haven't heard anything on this board and I haven't seen his name in the paper for it either.

I knew that. He really one lives like 35 minutes away from my house and his family comes over to my house like once/twice a year. And they go to the same church as my parents and I was good friends with his brother.

I actually have been to a few of his games. The only plays he took off were the ones where he could not pull himself up of the field. He is the PK, Punter, RB and LB. He never gets a break unless he gets "hurt"(to tired to get up) or there is a TO

I just was not sure if his dad was just messing with me or was being serious. Only because I had not seen anything on here or in the paper about him with the buckeyes.

Leetonia, that's right down the road from my home. I've never heard of the kid. I'd think it's next to impossible to go from a D6 school to a college powerhouse.

Thats what I thought but his dad said its down to one of the 3. Like I also said just trying to see if his dad is telling me a line of crap.

Did his dad say that he was being recruited by these three schools? Did his dad say that he was being offered preferred walk-on status by these three schools? Or, did his dad simply say that he was thinking of going to one of these three schools and trying to walk-on?

It is not completely impossible to go from D6 to OSU. I believe that St. Henry is a D6 school and they have sent Jim Lachey, Bobby Hoying, and Todd Boeckman to OSU.

all his dad said is that he was getting offer's everyday from alot of diffrent school's. and he wanted to stay around here so he was going to either tOSU, Penn State or scUM.

He also said some of the coaches have called the house about recruiting him.

I will have to ask my parents to ask him next time they see him.

realistically... Akron U... vs Big 10... just the way it goes...

Div VI better be All-World and have instant recognition... to get offers from B10... he may certainly be getting letters... and these pgms probably do want him to chose their schools.. but doubtful they are offering athletic scholies.. at least not year 1.. till he proves himself on scout team... "Ruuudeee... Ruuudeee... Ruuudee"

Yes, that is very true. I just know what is father told me that is why I was wondering if anyone actually knew if we were recruiting him
