'05 Xenia RB Cedric Tolbert (Cincinnati signee)

If Maurice Wells commits I cant see Ohio State offering this kid. Wells is in the same build as him, and I cant see tOSU taking two of these types of backs in the same year. He does sound like a good one though, and I wouldnt complain if he got an offer.

Tolbert had a nice game last night with 209 all purpose yds

He is waiting on tOSU

Tolbert bounces back

Xenia senior tailback Cedrick Tolbert rushed for 78 yards on seven carries in the Woodward blowout, suggesting the knee he injured last year is back to good health. Tolbert has some Division I college offers, but is said to be waiting to gauge Ohio State?s possible interest before committing.

This kid has good size and great speed and I have heard he has pretty damn good hands. Also I like that he has a great work ethic too. Add the fact he has good grades and he could be a GREAT addition to the Buckeyes. Plus he really likes Ohio State; can't beat that!!!
Although I like him no matter how much he weight is; if he was able to put on some weight and still keep his speed ... OH MY !!

Tolbert's short list

By Eric Frantz
For the Dayton Daily News

Xenia senior Cedric Tolbert has narrowed his potential college choices to five. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound running back is considering Minnesota, Boston College, Cincinnati, Toledo and Central State.

Tolbert, first team all-Greater Western Ohio Conference and honorable mention Division I Southwest District, rushed for 1,302 yards and 16 touchdowns on 248 carries. He averaged 153 yards of total offense, catching 12 passes for 175 yards and a score.

Central State is in the process of trying to rekindle their football program, but I don't believe their has been anything set in stone as to when they might begin play again. And when they do start back up, it will likely be as an NAIA school, not NCAA. Very interseting, in a good way, to see them on the list.

Cedric is a good kid and I will be rooting for him in college. Here's hoping that Dantonio can pull some magic & keep Mr. Tolbert in Ohio...

Unfortunately there are few things that can be said about CSU "in a good way".
