Austin is interested in alot of schools. It is too early to name any favorites. He lists tOSU with the other schools he is receiving the most interest from. Playing time will be a heavy factor in his decision. Austin will attend the UCLA junior day and possibly the Cal junior day, Ohio State's football camp and the NIKE camp at USC or Stanford. His coach said he constantly works onhis fundamentals, and is a smashmouth style football player. He thinks he would make an excellent DB, but it seems Austin prefers offense. All schools so far are recruiting him as a WR.

Austin is from the same high school as former Buckeye wideout Ken-yon Rambo.

From Rivals100.com...UCLA was the first to offer Austin a few weeks ago. He plans to visit USC and Cal in the near future. Those three plus Oregon and Stanford make up his top 5.

Terrence is consistently hearing from Cal, Stanford, USC, Oregon, Washington State, Washington, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Colorado State, Colorado, Ohio State, Miami, Georgia Tech, and Kansas State. However, the handwritten letters are coming from UCLA, Ohio State, Oregon State, Stanford, and Colorado. Austin's top 5 is UCLA, Cal, USC, Washington, and Oregon. The 6 foot 170 pound athlete has some impressive attributes: 38 inch vertical, 4.4 40 yd dash, 225 lb bench, 425 lb squat, and a 3.0 GPA. While most of the early discussion has been about Pac 10 schools, Terrence insists that distance is not a factor for him.

From Scout.com's review of the combine at Cal-Berkeley:

While the running backs and offensive line appear to have a wealth of talent, the receiver position just might be the marquee group working out Sunday. Outside of Lemoore's David Ausberry, you'll be hard-pressed to find three better receivers on the west coast than DeLaShaun Dean of Fairfield, Terrence Austin of Long Beach Poly and Richard Sherman from Dominguez.

Berkeley Scout.com combine wrap-up:

Another player that's going to be hard-pressed to be kept off the ballot is Long Beach (Calif.) Poly WR Terrence Austin. Terrence, considered by many to already be this year's version of heralded WR Desean Jackson, proved worthy of the hype. There weren't a ton of receivers that stood out on Sunday, but his work was clearly evident.

From the USC site...Austin showed great speed and route running at the USC skills camp. He is not sure how much the USC coaches are interested in him at this point. He is very interested in ND, but seems most interested in USC, followed by UCLA and Oregon.
