'06 FL S/WR Jamar Hornsby (official thread)

This kid could start a huge trend. While Florida will probably rebound, I think FSU and Cryami will stay down until they dump their coaches.

Imagine when '07 & '08 WRs see where the best receivers go to play ball. The ones who don't mind competition will see where the "tiny" holmes went and got drafted from, also where Ginn plays, as well as Hornsby.

Even just the interest in tOSU is a plus for the future of buckeye recruiting.
...and don't forget Michael Jenkins before them!

With us getting the ball to Ginn Jr. more and hopefully him being in the thick of things as far as the heisman goes I think we will land Hornsby If we pass effectively this upcoming season, and we also will have two Wells'sises recruiting for us one from the same school and the other will probably be rated the best back in the nation (after watching his clips I am conviced) at least until the All star game rolls around, lol.
I think If we can remain his Leaders throughout the summer he may commit during the buckeyes upcoming season say around the Texas or Iowa game.

i really dont see this kid leaving the south. miami was shut out at the wr spot last year, and UF will be all over him with their new "Urbanization". All we can do is try to get him up here for a visit and hope for the best.

I am just saying that i believe that we will be in the thick of things, we have a lot going for us as far as his recruitment goes from what i am reading into it.
I believe that the Wells & Wells combo can work their magic before they even touch the field.

I looked on the miami site last night and they were talking about wr's in FL and they were not even mentioning this guy. They don't feel as if they have any chance with him at all b/c they don't recruit well in J-ville. Hopefully Wells is talking to him everyday b/c he is going to be a good one.

From the Florida site...Jamar and Tim Tebow both visited Florida last weekend. Urban told them they are his top two targets this year. Florida and OSU are his early leaders.

From the Miami site...more of the same, with a distinctive Miami slant...

I remember reading somewhere around the time of the draft last year that of all the wide-recievers coming out (and the class was loaded), the best coached one was michael jenkins. I think Daniels (and now Hazell) can really do some great things with recievers, they just haven't had a ton of talent in the last few years besides jenkins and gamble.

Now, with holmes and Ginn ... and maybe gonzalez and hall too ... achieving their potential and becoming elite talents at WR and OSU getting that national rep for their passing game, alot of other kids looking to play WR that maybe wouldn't have considered OSU will become interested.

Bottom line, Daniels turns guys with talent and motivation into NFL players, and that's something that I think won't get lost on these top level WR recruits like Hornsby now that Ginn and Holmes are emerging onto the national scence.

Is Hornsby projected to be a WR or a CB in college? I hope he stays in contact with Wells and becomes a Buckeye.

West End do you know if there are shirts with Brutus and the scUM cheerleader for sale anywhere? Thanks and GO BUCKS!!
