As one of Florida's best prospects, Jamar Hornsby has a lot to think about in recruiting. However there is more to the Jacksonville (Fla.) Sandalwood safety and wide receiver. Find out more in this ScoutTV presentation.

Again, Jamar lists his favorite as Florida with Georgia Tech, Georgia, USC and Michigan rounding out his top 5. He does not know if he will camp this summer as his coach told him he should not need to do so.

This article is a spin-off from the earlier article doen by South Carolina. However, this involves the pro-Michigan spin where Jamar discusses Michigan's early offer and the author even sees Maurice Wells at tOSU as an advantage for the Wolverines. Jamar claims that he had a problem leaving state at first, but that problem no longer exists.

They aren't getting out-recruited. Hornsby is arguably the state of Florida's best prospect. As good as OSU is, you can't expect to get the #1 prospect out of Florida. The one constant in everything has been Florida. It was Florida and OSU, then Florida and FSU, Florida and G. Tech, Florida, Michigan and USC and now Florida and Michigan. Hey, I am sure OSU fans would rather see Hornsby at Florida than USC or Michigan. :)

Jacksonville WR A Major Attraction

By Phil Kornblut
WR Jamar Hornsby (6-4 195) of Jacksonville, FL counts over 25 offers at this point including USC and Clemson, but the Gamecocks and Tigers are not in his current top five. That would be Southern Cal, Michigan, Florida, Georgia and Georgia Tech. Hornsby says he's also interested in Texas, Oklahoma, LSU and Ohio State. Hornsby also plays both safety positions but says most of the schools would want him to start out on offense. Lat season he had 20 catches for 720 yards and 9 touchdowns. On defense he had 135 tackles and 7 interceptions. At one point Hornsby was on the fast track towards a decision, but that's no longer the case. "I was going to have my mind made up in the middle of May but my mom wants me to wait and explore my options, so that's what I'm going to do."
