The article focuses on D'Vontrey's teammate Lavelle Parker, but it also discusses how the two would like to be a package deal. Thus far, Oregon is the only school to offer them as a package. Lavelle speaks about how he is impressed with Alabama and would like to learn more about the program.

From the Oklahoma site...Richardson has included offers from Georgia, Louisville, LSU, Oklahoma, Alabama and Florida State. Clemson is still thought to be his favorite, although recruiting is not a big priority for D'Vontrey right now.

Of course, USC refers to the Gamecocks...
USC Offers Georgia QB

By Phil Kornblut
USC has jumped into the race for QB D'Vontrey Richardson (6-2 205) of Leesburg, GA. Richardson said the Gamecocks recently offerred him joining Clemson, Georgia, Louisville, Troy, Alabama, UAB, LSU, Oregon Marshall, Florida State and Oklahoma as his offers. He's also getting interest from Miami and Southern Cal. Richardson just finished his baseball season so he's not had much time to think about his football recruiting. He said he has no favorites at this time. He plans to camp at Clemson, Troy, Florida State and Georgia.

To add a little, I heard from a source that Lee County's star receiver Lavalle Parker has been kicked off the Lee County team for stealing a check from coach Johnson. If true, a package deal seems to have died.

This supposedly happened a couple of weeks ago. I'll make a call tomorrow to confirm it. EDIT: Although, I'm sure it's true, I went to the GASV (insiders Georgia HS message board...if you want to go there, Lee County is in AAAA) website and a couple of Lee County fans mentioned it.

If I don't respond by Sunday mods, delete this...I don't want a rumor to start even if it turns out to be true

Richardson and Parker are good friends. I know somebody may try to read into this and question Richardson's character. I wouldn't. From what I have heard, Richardson is a good kid. I've never talked to him, but when I watched him play, he was by far the best player I saw all year...a couple of the players I happened to see where Aairon Savage (Auburn recruit), Jerrell Mabry (Miami) recruit and Dan Foster (FSU recruit). Actually, the only kid I thought was as close to Richardson was Brooks County's Joseph Heuwitt. Unfortunelty, he failed four classes in the first semester last year and won't go any where.

I don't know what kind of interest Richardson still has in OSU, but I will try to talk to some people and try to find out what the latest is.

No mention of OSU doesn't surprise me with the Henton verbal. However, If was JT, I'd take Richardson in a heartbeat if he wanted to come to OSU. Richardson is a true blue chipper. He has more speed than Henton and is probably the more polished QB at this point because he has been playing it longer.

This is something that has crossed my mind. Richardson is also one hell of a baseball player. He's definetley MLB material who has five-tool potential. I personally watched him take a pitch about two feet off the plate the other way and hit it 400 feet. He also made one of the best diving catches I've seen at the HS level. I wonder if a big-league team drafts him in the first round and throws a million dollar contract in his face, that he would opt not to play college football...ala Bauserman. This isn't totally out of the question. The kid is a truly special athlete.

I'm going to make a wild prediction. If he goes the football route, Louisville is the team to beat. They have some serious connections in the Albany area (where Lee County is located). Although it would still be tough for him to turn down UGA.
