Yeah, I was actually just about to give him a thread, but it looks as if you beat me to it. I love the article and would be thrilled to have Jason in Columbus in 2006.

this may belong in another thread, but what i don't understand is quotes like this one...

Extra Point - - There hasn’t been a more talked about interior lineman in March. All the college coaches love him but nobody has offered yet which raises a red flag. Onyebuagu is the real deal but right now all of the colleges that have him high on their recruiting board are waiting to see who offers first. When Jason does get his first offer, I feel several will follow. Who will offer first? Don’t be surprised if it’s Boston College. The Eagles do very well in the Midwest and Onybuagu is their type of football player.

Why do schools wait to offer prospects, such as this one? We have seen in the past that offering a prospect first can do nothing but help in his recruitment.. ie, gwaltney, aldridge.... This is what assistant coaches are paid for. If they are so high on him, then why not offer? I would trust my personal view, or my assistant coach's view on him first, rather then see who offers him first and then deciding that, "oh, so and so offered him, he must be good, let's offer him" The recruiting business is a gamble and I would put my chips on my own views rather then somebody else's.

Indiana, Northern Illinois, Western Michigan, Ball State and Toledo have offered. Indiana is the leader at this point. Jason is going to play center this year.

"Jason Onybuagu carries a 2.7 core GPA in the classroom"

maybe thats why we havent offered

It could be the reason or the fact OSU is concentrating on more highly rated O lineman in Ohio and nationally at this point. His GPA certainly does not help him.
