Holy Cow we need to offer this kid immediately... He's a machine

Just joshin ya WADC :wink:
I just copy and paste...blame the goofs at BlueandGold.com. Just a shot in the dark, but I am guessing they meant that as his bench max. :tongue2:

I'm pretty sure that is where current Buckeye Nick Patterson is from.
You would be correct sir...

For clarification, James benches 300 pounds and squats 450. OSU said to expect an offer when he was at Junior Day. He is indeed friends with Nick Patterson and OSU is one of his early favorites.

I like what I have read so far about this kid...

James Aldridge

Running back, Merrillville, Jr.

* Bio: Aldridge may be the most complete back to come through the area in quite some time. He could be a punishing running inside, as he showed in a terrific performance in the Pirates' sectional opener against E.C. Central. Or he could break it to the outside for a long gainer. A move-in from the St. Louis area, Aldridge helped Merrillville to Duneland Conference and Sectional 1 titles. Who knows what might have been if he hadn't been injured on the kickoff of his team's regional contest vs. Penn?

* Stats: 281 carries, 2,067 yards, 7.4 avg., 20 TDs.

dont know what thread to put this in but if he does commit how does that affect wells? both seem to be big backs, and wells seemed to be in the mindset that he would be the lone 'big back' at osu with a bunch of other scat backs when he commited.

Not at all IMO.

Wells said the JG situation helped him commit early, but he also said it would not have been a deciding factor in his choice.

Now back to Aldridge....

WDG's clip reminds me of the Earl Campbell highlight that used to be on all of the SI tapes they would give away...Earl stutter stepped then speared the Ram LB out of his cleats...the clip is below

You can find the clip HERE...4th one from the bottom

Mr. Aldridge currently goes to high school about 15-20 minutes from where I went to high school. Same confrence, same sectional. We could never beat M-Ville.... 0-5 all time while I was there *uggg* (playoffs one year, I never flunked any grades).

Maybe next season I'll stop up there and get some video and meet some OSU scouts. I still have 2 years of eligibility left... :wink:

From the ND site...James is still recovering from ACL surgery and is expected to be back to 100% by July. Aldridge played some QB last year but will be strictly a RB this year. He likes ND, OSU, Purdue, Michigan, and USC (although he doesn't think his family would like him that far away). KSU and Mizzou have offered. UNC and Miami are starting to send mail. He and his dad have always been Michigan fans.
