'06 IN RB James Aldridge (Notre Dame signee)

Rivals $
Aldridge holds offers from Ohio State, Okie State, Duke, Purdue, Iowa State, Kansas State, Iowa and Missouri. He will visit OK.St. for a spring practice, and will probably stop and see N. Dame. He will decide this summer as he will graduate early.

Says Nick Patterson, former teamate, is recruiting him hard core to tOSU.
He is aware of the commitment of Chris Wells, but says you will see competition everywhere.
He was here for Junior day and loved Ohio Stadium.

Really positive sounding article for Ohio State.

This one looks very do-able.

1. He has a good friend and mentor in Nick Patterson, who loves life at tOSU and is urging him to join the team. 2. We've been in on him since he was a Freshman on Nick's old team. 3. His other favorite is Okie State, who we absolutely crushed on national TV not three months ago. 4. He's seen and loves the Horseshoe. 5. He wants to commit early so he can enroll and play early, which gives competing programs less time to turn his head. And 6. (the clincher) -- Columbus is near home. That's nearly always a huge difference-maker for kids and their families.

Come on, James. Join the fun. Get a great education and play on a very special football team.

If we land James Aldridge, does Bennie mover to LB???
no...both are being recruited at RB, and that's where they will start out. If anyone is better suited to be the 3rd LB in this class, it's Aldridge.

another good find by unionfutura...

From the ND site...James lists his top schools as Purdue, Ohio State, Iowa, USC, Tennessee, Michigan and Notre Dame. James likes playing safety as much as he likes running the football. His dad was a fan of Michigan and Florida State, so he kind of liked them growing up.

The ommission of Oklahoma State is a little surprising.

Aldridge's head coach talked about the rumor James would be moved to linebacker in college, he stated he would be suprised if he was moved to linebacker but added he was definitely athletic enough. He called him the completed package, 2067 yards and 20 touchdowns...7.36ypc.

Purdue, Ohio State, Oklahoma State and Kansas State are recruiting James the hardest at this point.

James lists Oklahoma St, Notre Dame, and tOSU as his favorites in that order. Oklahoma State is offering an opportunity for immediate playing time while Notre Dame offers a great tradition and solid education. James does like tOSU's program. He plans on graduating early.
