According to his high school coach, Chris is a shut down corner who is a definite D-1 prospect. Fox's favorite schools are Boston College (offered) and Ohio State (showing serious interest). Chris is the son of former Buckeye All-American DB Tim Fox, the cousin of former Buckeye DB Dustin Fox, and attends the same high school as current Buckeye kicker John Barker.

Gotta love the idea of having another Fox be a Buckeye.

[sarcasmfont]It is sad to think that out of all of us on here that this is the first time we have heard of Dustin Fox's cousin that is the son of a former Buckeye. Come on. We have to be better than that. Surely someone in our web community/communities has heard of him before.

Rivals has him as a WR. Is he better there, or is that just a type?
Right now, Chris is listed as a WR/CB, and his name appears under the list of receivers. However, his coach thinks that he will be a DB, and Fox's family history indicates that he'll end up on that side of the ball (father Tim and cousins Dustin and Derek all played DB, the former two at OSU and the latter at PSU).

Well hopefully we are able to get a third fox to play for us.

Chris will camp at Ohio State; the Bucks (no offer) are still in his top five. Lots of Buckeye talk in this very long and detailed article - definitely worth a read.

Boston College, Duke, and Oregon have offered.

According to Rivals, Chris is the #4 prospect in New England.

Oregon Rivals (05/27/05)

Rivals now has videos of Chris posted: reel 1 shows Chris as a punt returner; reels 2 and 5 as a wide receiver; reels 3 and 4 as a cornerback. Chris excels equally in all three roles, but would probably be most valuable to a team as a CB - he is very athletic, but he gets and maintains good position on the receiver and doesn't rely on his speed to "recover" and make plays.

If Chris goes to OSU's camp as planned, and if he shows well in one-on-one drills, and if he demonstrates outstanding measurables, and if he's not behind too many other players on the staff's "board", then he might get a Buckeye offer. A lot of if's, so let's just wait and see.

Chris performed well at Notre Dame's camp, but did not earn an offer from the Irish. Chris is still interested in Ohio State, but he does not yet have an offer from the Bucks. Ohio State and Notre Dame are recruiting Chris as a safety, but most other schools are recruiting him as a cornerback.

Chris has offers from Boston College, Colorado, Duke, Oregon, and Wisconsin, and BC leads.

Chris was the ball boy for the New England Patriots last fall.
