A.J. Wallace
Cornerback / Running back
Pomfret (MD) McDonough
Height: 6-foot-1
Weight: 195 pounds
40-yard dash: 4.4 seconds
Bench max: 285 pounds
Squat max: 385 pounds
Vertical leap: 32 inches
GPA: 3.30
ACT: 21
2003 stats (offense): 1,100 yards rushing, 8 TD's
2003 stats (defense): 72 tackles
2004 stats (offense): 1,367 yards rushing, 22 TD's; 224 yards receiving, 2 TD's
2004 stats (defense): 68 tackles, 2 interceptions
2005 stats (offense): 717 yards rushing, 9 TD's
2005 stats (defense): 63 tackles, 2 interceptions

A.J. is a Rivals 4-star player with interest in Maryland, Virginia, Virginia Tech, the three Florida schools, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and LSU (all offered).

In track, A.J. ran the 100m dash in 10.46 seconds (hand-timed) and 10.60 seconds (electronic-timed); and ran the 200m dash in 21.7 seconds (electronic-timed).

By my count, Wallace is at least the seventh Buckeye offeree from the state of Maryland. Someone on the OSU staff (Luke Fickell) is certainly recruiting Maryland hard this year.

Scout - Allen Wallace (06/09/05)

Wallace (A.J.) claims a recent offer from Ohio State. Allen and A.J. are not related.

From the Maryland site...Wallace enjoyed his unofficial to OSU. Fickell has spent a lot of time recruiting Wallace and other MD recruits. Wallace has dropped Virginia and Maryland from consideration. He left today to camp at Michigan for the next two days.

Wallace is a four star CB by Rivals. They rank him as the #3 CB in the country, the #3 player in the state of Maryland, and the #63 player in the country in the class of 2006.

The database shows interest and offers from Florida, Florida State, LSU, Miami (FL), Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio State and Virginia Tech.

From Bucknuts...A.J. enjoyed his trip to Columbus. He will camp at Michigan and take trips to the Big 3 in Florida. He reluctantly calls his top 5 the Florida schools plus OSU and Michigan. Hanging out with the players was the highlight of the trip for him. He claims no favorite.

Maryland corner moves Buckeyes higher

Maryland's A.J. Wallace is considered one of the best secondary men in the country, and he has a host of big time schools courting him. He was in attendance for the Ohio North-South All-Star Game, and had his eyes opened about the school. Where do the Buckeyes stand in his pecking order?

Summary???
I don't have premium, I thought I'd post it anyways though as noone had for a little while. I thought the best thing for me to do was to bring it to the boards attention and then someone with premium could summarize it later or something. That's also why I included the title, it was very enticing!

Summary:
AJ was not too familiar with OSU before his time spent at camp. However, he was indeed impressed with what he saw. He was shown around campus by Nate Salley and claims to have a good relationship with Coach Fickell. Wallace will next attend Michigan's Camp, with no other camps scheduled at this time. OSU looks good for an official visit down the road as well.

A 10.6 One-hundred meter dash is blazing. No wonder all of those schools have offered already. I would guess with his football production (solid numbers on both sides of the ball), 6+ feet height in the secondary, and that kind of track speed, he is easily one of the top 50 players in the country. I can't imagine any CB prospects who would have any better numbers than those.

AJ will visit Nebraska on October 29th, and he will also visit Ohio State (date undetermined); he is unsure about his other visits.

He mentions his unofficial to OSU this summer and that he attended the high school all-star game; he states that he was impressed with Jamario O'Neal.

Nebraska Rivals - 07/01/05

I'd say that the Buckeyes have a good chance here....

Repost (images weren't working before)

AJ Wallace finished out his saturday (june 18th) at the Ohio HS Allstar North South game... being walked around by Nate Salley. He got to hang out on the sidelines with Ted Ginn, Donte Whitner and a number of other OSU and/or Ohioans. He definitely saw how close the OSU and Ohio HS guys were, especially the glenville boys.

Here are a few pictures I took of him... the second pic w/ Coach Fickell, the third with Nate Salley (I didn't realize how big he was muscle-wise)...
