I watched that game too, it was a pretty sweet game.

You have to wonder what the hell Jeffries was thinking at the end though picking up that offensive foul.

Jeffries was out of control, but I'm still not sure I'd called him with the offensive, Nocioni was still moving his feet when they collided. (I know next to nothing about NBA rules though). I was more angry at Sweetney for taking that put back shot with four seconds left.

It was a tough call, but I dont really care becuase I would rather have the Bucks get the #5 seed than the Wizards.

Tomorrow's Cavs game against the Wizards is a lot more interesting now. The Wizards are pretty much in a must win situation and their remaining schedule is brutal (Cavs, Bucks, Pistons). If the don't pick it up they might find themselves out of the playoffs. Of course the Bucks have Atlanta, Detroit, Washington left so their road isn't much better. The Cavs/Wiz game tomorrow might be the last big minutes that Lebron sees. I think they would like to play well against a playoff team and then get rested up for the playoffs.

The thing that pisses me off the most is that the Cavs (playoff missing) 42 wins last season would have them in the 4 or 5 seed in this years playoffs.

Yeah I hope we have a good showing against the Wizards, but it is going to have to come from bench players and murray and Hughes, b/c if LBJ does play I don't see him and Z getting a ton of minutes. Maybe in the 35 range for LBJ and 30 for Z.

Hughes is going to be up for this game so I just hope he can keep playing like he did in the second half Thursday. I would be happy with those minutes since you know Hughes and Murray are going to be in the 30-40 range as well. I really like the Cavs with Lebron, Larry, and Flip on the team. They can all play together, or at the very least 2 of them can be on the floor together the whole game.

Yeah I agree, I love that lineup. I love the fact that Larry started to get his game back.

I really don't care who we play in the first round, as long as the Pacers dont find a way to get back into that 5 spot. I would love for them to play the Pistons in the first round and give them a run.

The Pistons game got alot easier. Since they clinched home court for the entire playoffs the starters play less than half the game.

Well, the NBA playoff situation has created an interesting scenario. Memphis and the LA Clippers are 'battling' for the 5th and 6th spots out West. They play in Memphis tonight, and here's how hard the Clippers will be playing.

If the Clippers lose, they will be guaranteed the 6th spot, and will play Denver. Since they have a better overall record than Denver, the Clippers would have home court in that 1st-round series.
Memphis would finish in the 5th spot, and open the playoffs on the road against Dallas, a team that has the third-best record in the league, 7 full games better than Phoenix or Miami.

So Mike Dunleavy, if you win you still have a chance of having to face Dallas in the first round (they'd be tied with the Clippers with a game left). If you lose tonight, you're guaranteed home court against Denver. How many minutes does Elton Brand get tonight?

Great playoff setup, David Stern. Guarantee the division champions at least a #3 seed, but don't guarantee them home court. The fans in Memphis will really be rooting hard for their team to win tonight. :tongue2:

Z will need to be hot in the playoffs. When he is on there isn't anyone in the league that can stop him. The Cavs will also need to find a way to slow down Arenas. Hopefully a mix of Hughes, Snow, and Murray will be able to do the trick.
