'06 NJ S/QB Antwine Perez (USC signee; transfer to Maryland)

This kid seems like a great prospect but I just don't see him in the S&G no matter how optimistic I try to be. He seems too interested in just about every other school in the country and has yet to show us much love at all. Good luck Antwine wherever you go.

Wow

I saw the highlight film on him at rivals.com... the kid can flat out HIT! He also has great athleticism. He's gonna be good wherever he goes, be nice to see him as one of the silver bullets on defense. I love when tOSU has a safety that can just clock people, and we've had alot of them in the past.

Do not fret OSU recruitaholics...just when you thought you could quit keeping tabs on one of the first players we offered an unsolicited comment about the Bucks comes into play....Although Perez thinks he would like top play in warm weather, he is still very interested in schools like OSU and Mich.

This should be a good week for info as we see who the coaches are trying to get to and what their reception is to what the coaches have to say....

Perez lists a top 5 of USC, Tennessee, Michigan, Ohio State, and Florida. The stuff said about OSU does not bother him, and he knows they have had some good safeties like Doss....

From the Nebraska site...Antwine is up to 42 offers, with the most recent ones coming from LSU, South Carolina, Michigan and Illinois. Penn State was the first to call him last night. He says that if there is one offer that is special to him, it is the one from USC, being the back-to-back national champs. USC will probably be his only summer camp.

wstripes can probably say definitively, but it seems like Perez is all but SC bound...lot of USC talk for being an article by a Nebraska reporter.
