Columbus DeSales had a successful 2004 season going 8-5 and reaching the regional finals against one of the toughest schedules in the state.

Much of the Stallions success on defense can be attributed to junior defensive tackle Alex Stewart. Stewart recorded 73 tackles, 23 tackles for a loss, and nine sacks earning Division III 1st team All-Ohio honors. Standing in at 6-2[font=&quot]½, 273-pounds, Stewart also carries a 3.7 cumulative GPA.

Moving on with our Ohio High top 100 countdown, we reveal players 31-50 on Duane Long's list of top 100 Ohio prospects. This year's class is deep in talent, with some of these players ranked 31-50 already have multiple scholarship offers from quality programs. Click the link to take a look at part two in this series.

Stewart is the #41 prospect in Ohio, he is considered a playmaker. They consider him better than Grant Bowman who played at DeSales and went on to Michigan and play.

And whom did they lose to in the regional finals?
Oh, thats right, Watterson, again! Go Eagles!

Any chance he would be willing to walk on at Ohio State, since an forthcoming offer doesn't look likely?

I wonder if Alex is related to Matt Stewart, the LB who went to DeSales and then Vanderbilt and then played for the Falcons and now plays for the Browns.
